You must eat here - Edit
We stayed in Solvang for one day, and through the day we went from one restaurant to the other to find vegan options. We found one restaurant where we were able to get a salad, but on our way back to Santa Barbara, we found this place. It was absolutely amazing! And they put so much food in your plate, you could probably share with someone else. I love the options of meats they have, the jackfruit was our favorite. This is definitely the place you need to try!

A Go 👍🏾 for GreenGo - Edit
Finally, a good delicious vegan Mexican food place. I ordered the burrito with one of the plant based meats. The flavors were really good and quite filling the burrito was. I loved the simple interior space with all the vegan celebrity posters on the wall. The person working behind the counter was wonderful in explaining all the dishes and what was popular. Also, having the reward system is a big plus.

An All-vegan Chipotle - Edit
Just like Chipotle, it's a build-your-own Mexican food bar. There are plenty of vegan meat options and toppings.
Read moreLove the pro-vegan attitude there. Emphasis on a healthy, whole-foods based approach to fast food rather than using the more processed vegan alternatives. For example, their queso is carrot and potato based I think.
The nachos were the best deal, IMO. Burritos are messy (hoping they'll get their wrapping skills up to par).
$$ Expensive, so not winning over a lot of students ($11~$15 for bowls, nachos, and burritos), but they're filling enough made with good ingredients to justify the cost. Food could be more flavorful and they could benefit from a self-serve salsa or hot sauce area.
No customer restrooms.
Aaaand Remember to always bring your own reusable cutlery & straws/cups when eating out! ^_^
Pros: filling portions, tasty "meats", tries to be eco-friendly
Cons: overpriced, not super flavorful (probably bc its low in oil), staff wasn't all that warm

This was an exciting find! It’s a fast casual, all vegan spot. The food was quite tasty. My husband and I will be coming back when we’re in town.

Best Mexican restaurant in Santa Barbara!!! - Edit
Having grown up in Santa Barbara and there are some good Mexican food places around town, but nothing compares to Vegan GreenGO!!! It is healthy, delicious and nutritious. 100% plant based you would never know (if it didn’t say in the name) that this place is Vegan! You can take your non-vegan friend there who enjoy Mexican food and they’ll love it! Guaranteed.
