Nice find in NC - Edit
I travel a lot for work and this was a nice find it in North Carolina. The staff was very friendly and the food, overall, was delicious. The yeero was very tasty and made the meal but I am sorry to say that the mac & cheese was slightly too oily.

I was in absolute heaven!! Greek cuisine has always been my favorite so this place had a lot to live up to...but this place did it! Had the spanikopta, gyro, dolmates, chocolate baklava, and hibiscus tea and it was all fabulous. Going back again before we have to leave town!

Tucked away location but amazing food. I never thought I'd find vegan donner kabob but low and behold Vegan Community Kitchen. The owners also own a vegan restaurant in Istanbul. Simple foods prepared on site with care and flavor. I'll be sure to visit again and would recommend it without hesitation.

I wanted to love it, but really I didn’t. Fake meat was spongy in texture, and there was a ton of it. I did enjoy the Mac and cheese also the cake was good. The salads looked good and I’ll probably give it one more shot before crossing it off my list.

The Vegan Community Kitchen is full of great options. All of their stuff is made right there, and it is authentic. The chefs there were very nice and full of smiles. I recommend to everyone.

I loved my meal here! I did not expect to find an all vegan place during my visit, and was happily surprised. It was the best gyro i’ve had. Unfortunately i live hours away, or else i would be going here all the time. We bought some baklava for the road and snacked on it all day.

This is a great place. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I had the “authentic yeero” and whatever the meat analogue they make is, it’s fantastic. Can’t wait to come back and continue eating my way through the menu.

Read moreThe food is PHENOMENAL!!!!! The best baba Hanoi’s I’ve ever had. The kitchen burger is huge and delicious! The stuffed sweet potato is great! The vegan Mac and cheese with broccoli is comfort food heaven! The lentil balls are great! The stuffed grape leaves are superb, the tabouli is delish! Literally can’t go wrong!!!!

Incredible food by very nice staff. Ordered the red lentil soup and it was perfect. I have been lucky enough to have visited Istanbul and it is just like soup there I fell in love with. The spanakopita was super good. I’ve never seen a vegan spanakopita offered before and it was excellent. Ordered the kitchen burger and the cheese burger and it was AMAZING! Also ordered a ton of food to go and I’m so excited to eat it later.

Asked the owners for a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed with their advice! Ordered the yeero wrap and it was delicious! Also took home a spanakopita and chocolate cake for dinner. Both were very good! The chocolate topping on the cake was exceptionally good. Wish I had that receipt :-)

I tried a bunch of food and it was all very delicious. The staff was super friendly and had a very warm family atmosphere. You can tell these people are passionate about what they do. This place is a must! The baklava is out of this world!

So glad we have our very own 100% vegan restaurant. We went the second day open and enjoyed mac'n cheese, doner warp, veggie wrap and minestrone soup.

We ran into issues with the health department for offering metal cutlery because of the out of dishwasher in the kitchen, but it’s not an insurmountable problem if you have food in casual fast service restaurants.. We should start carrying our own cutlery is a new trend in Europe..We are so very sorry about that but we just started to serve few weeks ago so we will solve this issue pretty soon but thank you very much for your excellent review and support for our food..Parking problems are going to be solved at the end of this month..

I just tried Vegan Community Kitchen and was very impressed. The authentic gyro was wonderful and the wrap was the thick traditional gyro breaded wrap that makes this so good. Their baklava is probably the best I've ever had. They also had two soup options. I tried the potato leek soup which was more like a vegetable soup with a hint of spice...it was very good. Service was fast and very nice. And the prices are very reasonable.

Very nice vegan restaurant! There are many solid options for vegans from salads, soups, wraps, burgers, platters and desserts! We had the Iskender Kebab, mac & cheese and spanakopita, baklava and chocolate cake. It was all very flavorful, fresh and memorable. The restaurant is small ( sits 18) but the tables are well spaced out so you do not feel crowded or cramped. It is quite stylishly decorated. There is also a kids menu. Staff super friendly and service top notch. We plan on returning again and again and again!
