Truly enjoy this little restaurant! - Edit
I have been coming to this little restaurant for a number of years now. The vegan menu items are clearly identified and the staff will share the ingredients with you, if asked, as well as their experience with the taste profile (which, of course, is personal, but a starting point, if curious). They have a menu of staples and a rotating menu. Coffee and tea selection are decent and they have non-dairy options for milk. Honestly, this is one of my favorite vegan spots around Cary. It’s not “veganized fast food” (like vegan hamburgers and French fries-style restaurants), but more a good little local soup, sandwich and salad spot with good vegan options. And I must add, the staff and owner have always been attentive and helpful!

Pleasantly surprised by quantity of vegan baked goods - Edit
The staff here was wonderful and the sheer amount of vegan baked goods in their case was shocking. I honestly didn’t even look at the food menu, just the baked goods. They have some cute outdoor seating and I would highly recommend eating there because they’ll heat up the baked goods for you and it makes it that much better.

Little gem of a find - Edit
This food is very good and reasonably priced. I got alot so I could have extra for the next day. I got a buffalo tofu sandwich, eggs Benedict, a smores bar and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was great zero complaints, reminded me of a little vegan Cafe back home. Take out was very fast and staff was super friendly.

Small place with plenty of vegan breakfast/lunch sandwiches made fresh. We enjoyed the buffalo tofu sandwich and the the beyond sausage florentine sandwich.

I’ve had mostly good (occasionally great) desserts from Bonafide. I have not yet had a savory meal here that didn’t leave me disappointed. I’m not a fan of the vegan cheese they use.

This place is great. At LEAST half of all their food, drinks, and pastry options are vegan, if not more. We ordered a vegan gingerbread cake and chocolate silk pie for Christmas, and both were gone before the day was over. HOWEVER, I just wish they had in-house reusable cups and plates etc. It's all disposable and makes a lot of waste. So just be sure to bring your reusable coffee cup when you go here!!

I was so impressed by this cafe! Normally it’s difficult to do vegan breakfast, but they have multiple options using Just Egg, Beyond breakfast sausage, and tempeh bacon. The employee asked me which cheese I wanted on the breakfast sandwich and I used my standard “whichever one is vegan” reply, but they have three vegan cheeses, one being smoked Gouda! The biscuit is not vegan but the English muffin was fresh and so good (I haven’t been able to eat English muffins in years because they typically aren’t vegan). Everything is clearly labeled. Also has lunch options and lots of fresh baked goods - even vegan quiche.

I’ve tried this place twice and its just been alright each time. I HATED the english muffin that they use for the Just Egg Sandwich. It was so powdery that it was kind of like eating funnel cake. It was alright aside from that. The buffalo tofu was also alright. Better than the Just Egg, but the tofu was so thick that it was honestly just a lot to eat and chew through. I’d say the best was the muffin. I forgot which one I got but it was so good and honestly pretty healthy with all the ingredients in it! I’d say skip the coffee, it in general a good place to try!

I wish I could give 5 stars but those are reserved for all vegan places ❤️ the amount of options here are phenomenal! I wanted to try everything… but got the Beyond sausage English muffin, an iced vanilla oat milk latte, the cobbler, and figgy lemon tart. A on everything!

Awesome vegan options - Edit
We stopped by and got coffee and a just egg sandwich. The baked goods are awesome- I’d say over half were vegan options. My boyfriend said the vegan tomato quiche/pie was one of the best things he’s ever had- we ended up leaving with a whole one (and some more cakes and cupcakes to go). Their food is also inexpensive for vegan meals. The menu was well labeled, they had so many options, and it clearly showed they are welcoming and cater to the vegan clientele. We’ll be back for sure.

My favorite is the tofu Buffalo sandwich! Amazing flavor! The desserts are always 10/10
Me & Fiancé will often times choose going here out of all the other vegan friendly places!
The prices are also great! Me & the fiancé got a soup, two sandwiches & two desserts all for $30. Which most vegan friendly places cost 40 plus for that much food!
This place is a must try!

I had the crab less cake sandwich and it was delicious. Served on a bun that was so soft it melts in your mouth. My wife had the Mediterranean eggplant sandwich and loved it as well. This was our first time here. Staff very friendly. Service fast. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. Maybe breakfast as well.

Had the vegan buffalo Tofu sandwich and it was amazing! Covid friendly, also had the vegan mini tart which was great! The sandwich and a bag of chips was just over 10$ so not a bad price.

Poor COVID handling, Quality and Affordable - Edit
COVID-19: Staff were wearing masks and we ordered online. Sadly several customers were not wearing masks nor were they asked to. This is a very small establishment.
Read moreWhile we confirmed with the staff we could do curbside pickup, the staff had an attitude each time we arrived to pickup our order.
Our order started to also lack quality. For example the sandwiches were not warm when they brought them to us even though we arrived prior to the order being completed so it should have been fresh.
We've experienced this type of treatment from several restaurants. They advise they offer cursbide, then when we start to use curbside staff has an attitude and the quality disappears.
We have tried every Vegan Sandwich option and the salad.
Our favorites:
Bread: Focaccia
We found the other breads to be too heavy and dense
Sandwich: Buffalo Tofu Sandwich. We've also tried this with the bacon tempeh instead of the tofu and it was also good.
Salad: Florentine Salad: Very fresh and delicious. I'm not a big salad person and I really enjoyed it.
Breakfast: Just Egg Sandwich. This was tough though. The Florentine beyond sandwich is also good and a great deal. The sandwich has two beyond patties on it and is about the same price as dunkin donuts.
Dessert: We've only tried the cheesecake and the Thumbprint cookies but they were amazing. The cheesecake was almost as good as Sirabella's vegan cheesecake.
We didn't enjoy the coffee and found it to be a bit pricey. They also have gendered restrooms.
They have pumpkin spice that is vegan and can be added to drinks for $0.60.
Online ordering was so simple and straightforward. Everything is clearly labeled.
$1.25 Jam Thumbprint: Wow amazing. This did not look that impressive but it was probably one of the best cookies I've had.
$6.00 Just Egg Sandwich: served all day. The Kaiser bun seemed a bit hard but we did order close to closing. Otherwise it was a great sandwich and a great price.
$8.25 Southwest Tempeh Sandwich on Focaccia: I analyzed the tempeh bc it was so crispy and tasted so much like bacon. The sandwich is a bit spicy due to the chipotle. The flavor was very good also but I would have liked a bit more chipotle flavor.
$8.50 Buffalo Tofu Sandwich on Focaccia: Wonderful flavor. This sandwich is actually less spicy than the southwest. It had great flavor. The creamy, garlicy aoli is delicious. This might be our favorite sandwich so far.
Parking: this is located in a strip mall area with plenty of parking.
Pros: High quality at a great price, Tons of options , Curbside pickup available
Cons: Masks not enforced during pandemic , Gendered restrooms

Wonderful little bakery - Edit
Loved this place! I got the espresso oatmeal and Just Egg sandwich for myself, both of which were amazing. My non-vegan family members tried the Beyond Florentine and said it was great. There were tons of vegan pastries and baked goods, I got a slice of cheesecake which was also delicious. I even got to try macadamia nut milk for my coffee which was new to me. Excited to try more of their offerings!

Wow I loved my breakfast sandwich from here this morning, and the vegan pecan peach muffin was equally delicious. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there! The baked goods can change daily so they might not be listed on the website. There were a few other vegan sandwich/soup/salad options that I’ll definitely be back to try. And honestly this place is great for getting that non-vegan in your life to try vegan food because it is just that good. (It would be 5 stars in my opinion but Happy Cow only allows 4 bc theyre not fully vegan)
