Fav! - Edit
I love this place. They have so many options to choose from and a variety of types of food. The portions are big and the prices are definitely reasonable and comparable to the prices of non-vegan places. The food is also very good.

Wow, this place has such a huge menu and we wanted to try it ALL! Ended up with Mac ‘n “Brisket” wrap-fabulous, veggie wrap, falafel, tabbouleh, Italian potato salad. Everything was delicious

I'm so glad I discovered this restaurant! This was my first time eating Mediterranean food, and it was such a great experience. I had the Bosnian Burek and it was amazing! The portion sizes were also very large and the prices were great. Cannot wait to go back!

Great stuff! - Edit
Went here based on the other Happy Cow reviews and so happy I did. Really wide variety of menu options. I went with the Doner Kebab and the Mac and cheese with broccoli. First, the portions were MASSIVE! I’m a big eater and should get two meals out of these portions. I like seitan so that should be acknowledged but the kebab meat hd nice flavor and texture and it was served on a pita that had enough structure to keep together with the mass of seitan and vegetables loaded onto it. The Mac and cheese was broiled to a nice brown on top and quite tasty. The people were very friendly as well. Highly recommended.

Cant go wrong - Edit
I’ve been here twice now with different people and ordered different things each time. Between what I’ve ordered myself and what my friends have ordered, I’m convinced you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. So good and totally flavorful. With the pandemic you order online and call when you get there. They bring it out to your car and it’s so easy and fast, I can’t complain! Highly recommend.

This is a small vegan shop located in a strip mall.
Read moreParking is available in front of the store.
During covid only online orders are accepted. Once you arrive, simply call in and they bring the food to you.
We really enjoy their food. Their prices are affordable.
Some of our favorites:
Tas Kebab (not on the menu currently but our favorite dish)
Lentil soup: we always served cold in a styrofoam cup, so we stopped ordering it.
Mac n Cheese: surprisingly delicious
Baklava: delicious
Cake pops: surprisingly delicious
Gyro: huge
Not a fan:
Spanikopita
Baba Ganoush

Don’t get American food - Edit
If you go to this place I would not try the burger or Mac and cheese ect. There are much better places that can do that vegan style. The genius of this place is their Mediterranean food; it is absolutely delicious and tastes authentic. You must try the beyti kebab and the Nutella empanada was amazing. Great with covid safety also.

Amazing - Edit
I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything I've ever had is delicious, fresh, and above and beyond expectations. My favorite item is the yeero, but in general I just LOVE their seitan in any dish. The mac and cheese, potato salad, spanikopita, hummus trio, and desserts are other favorites. If you are looking for any type of meal, look here first. It is a Turkish restaurant, but they have burgers, fries, and did I mention DESSERTS?! Vegan desserts are hard to come by. Yesterday my family (whom I live with) celebrated my birthday with take out, they are all non veg. I got the Mediterranean tacos. They were thoughtfully packaged to stay fresh, and they were so good! Well, I could only finish half of the huge portion but I will be enjoying the rest tomorrow. We also ordered a bunch of the nutella empanadas, and WOW .. the entire family said 10/10. They are phyllo dough wrapped around a baklava and a generous portion of chocolate filling. The chocolate filling reminded me of the homemade pudding my granny used to make. They were absolutely incredible, and quite large. We ended up halving them! So again, leftovers! Again, I just can't recommend this place enough.

Since VCC is nestled in Apex, I sadly didn’t discover this restaurant until this year. I haven’t been inside due to Covid-19, but their food is always great and their portions are hearty. My favorite is the yeero

So Many Options and Mediterranean Yums! - Edit
I grew up across the Black Sea from Turkey, so Mediterranean food is not only my favorite, but a timeless comfort food, too.
Read moreWhen you go Vegan, it is indeed those types of food (which you grew up on) that are the hardest to “fake” because you know them so well. So it is in moments like this — as I sit in a park eating take-out from VCK and typing this review — that I am reminded that there is no excuse for most people not to be Vegan — not even taste. Vegan Community Kitchen is a testament to just that.
My food was piping hot, vibrant, fresh, and delicious. Unlike some kitchens you order from, and just *know* that they had their food on standby, not prepared-to-order. Every bite burst with flavor.
If you like eggplant, you’ll love the “Eggplant Parmesan” I ordered. The eggplant was soft and creamy, not a hint of bitterness. It paired excellently with the patty and cheese. The portion was large and filling.
The lady who brought out my food was incredibly sweet, too! Despite the fact that our interaction was likely less that a minute, it felt like she cared about my experience and enjoyment. Certainly, this was the perfect bow tied end to my visit!
I live 40 minutes away, but I will be back soon!

Oh. My. God. - Edit
We live an hour away, but stopped by here when we were in the area, and one thing is FOR SURE: we WILL be back! We ordered a celebratory, "go all-out" style meal from here figuring that leftovers are always welcome and that there were so many things on the menu we were dying to try. Ended up ordering 5 entrees and 2 desserts...for 2 people. The food is definitely 5 star caliber...the only reason why my review is short a star is that they forgot to give us the Baklava (😭😭😭😭😭) and they gave us an incorrect entree. That being said, all of the food is absolutely delicious (including the incorrect item), the portions are large, and we will be back every time we are in the area. ...if I'm being honest, we will be back more often than that, because 2h worth of driving is worth it!

Best vegan place around - Edit
Every time I have come here, the food is amazing! I haven’t had one bad experience. I have shown multiple (non-vegan) friends and family this place as well and they love it too. My favorite is the authentic yeero! It also feels great to go to a restaurant and not worry about ingredients or if it’s vegan or not

We are moving to Raleigh soon and had to drive up today to get our new house ready. We stopped here on our way into town for lunch. They’re take out only at the moment but you get SOO MUCH amazing food (2 meals out of each meal for us). And it’s SO SO SO GOOD. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!

Great food. Nice staff! - Edit
The lady that took our order & and brought us our food was very nice. From what I gather, she's the daughter of the owner. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about gluten free options as well. She also gave me some "gluten free pita(a.k.a. corn tortillas)" for my falafel platter. They didn't have much seating, but we were able to share a table with some amiable regulars. Great experience. Would definitely go back again!

My friend and I had such a hard time picking what to get because it all looked so good, and the food did not disappoint! Great quality, good prices, and super friendly staff. I will definitely be going again to try their other menu options.

Worth the hour + drive! - Edit
The food is amazing! I've tried the cheeseburger, yeero, hummus and sweet potato fries so far, and look forward to trying more menu items. My daughter, who is a picky non-vegan eater, loves the mac & cheese-- so that is really saying something!
