Super tasty - Edit

Typical Food and Goodies - Edit
This small café/restaurant is one of the few fully vegan places in the city. The staff is super nice and accommodating, the food is tasty, and the space has a cute and typical portuguese tasca style.
Read moreIt has a main dish option (check their IG stories!) and other snack and goodie options. We wanted to try a bit of everything so we went for 1 soup, 3 goodies, and 1 main dish (for both). However, the portions were so well served that after the soup and main dish we had to ask to take the goodies home as we were too full.
(The chocolate salami is delicious!)
Pros: Cheap, Good food and good portions, Central location
Cons: One can always wish for even more food options

Ok but could do better - Edit
The guy who served us was kind and helpful. They also have a nice space upstairs where you can dine. The starters were good which you could buy from the display at the front. The bread for starters did not taste fresh. We then ordered two different burgers, the sweet potato and seitan. It was unfortunately the worst burger I have ever eaten. Initially the patties came unevenly warm which makes me think they took them straight out of the freezer and stuck them in the microwave. The burger bread was not toasted and no salad in the burger, tomatoes were also forgotten but later brought up separately. In hindsight, I should have said something to the owner but I always want to support the vegan places when travelling and didn’t have the heart to do it face to face. I hope they read this review and make some changes otherwise it will be another vegan place that goes under for things that could have been easily fixed.

Fabelhaft - Edit

Full of flavors ! - Edit
Amazing shop owned by a very dedicated man. I ate there at evening. You have few dishes, but everything is home made and really delicious and affordable. I loved the desserts (pastei de nata vegan and a divine cheescake). This place absolutely deserves a detour.

Cute little find - Edit
We were visiting Faro for a few hours and found this little place, the food is lovely and the little restaurant upstairs is very homely. It’s all fresh and home made. I only dropped a star because although the pastel de nata was nice it was not the right pastry and was missing the signature puff pastry case so it was a bit soggy which is a shame, as the filling was perfect 👌🏻

Traditional fare and a welcoming family - Edit
Got to Faro around evening time and found this restaurant was the only vegan place open, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The restaurant is family run and the space itself feels like it may have been a traditional Portuguese tasca in its former life. The dishes are delicious and unpretentious, and all homemade and prepared with care. We had the cheese made with tremoços, croquetes and risóis to start, then the seitan platter for the main, and custard tarts for dessert. My husband grew up eating these dishes and was so happy to find vegan versions of dishes that tasted like his grandmother’s cooking. To be clear, this isn’t one of those trendy vegan places you’ll find in almost any corner of the world; this is comforting vegan home cooking, and a rewarding experience for vegans wanting a more local experience.

Comida familiar - Edit

Very nice little cafe and a take-away open all day. - Edit
Very friendly staff that speaks english, fresh and tasty food and many dishes are vegan version of the local cusine which is a big plus. You have to try the vegan version of the famous ‘Pasteis de nata’ which is a custard cream cake - we had 4 they were so good. Nice sitting area on the top floor. I definitely recommend it when you are in Faro :)

Good - Edit
The meal was very healthy, which I liked. Not sure if it had much of a flavor though and the portion was not very big.
Read moreThe staff was nice, but I didn’t feel 100% comfortable for some reason.
The price also was ok, 8.50€ for the dish of the day.
Not sure I would recommend this place. I LOVE that is 100% vegan but I also think there are improvements to be made.

We eat here regularly. - Edit
While visiting Faro we are eating out twice a day and this is one of two restaurants we eat at regularly. The food is healthy and tasty, reasonably priced with good, friendly service. We usually have the daily soup and special of the day. We can eat early here. Will continue eating here often until we leave Faro.

Healthy food which is good - Edit
The staff was very helpful when we ate here. Their dishes are cheap and good, low in salt and low in fat. The dishes themselves are just good but nothing special. The textures of different cakes are the same as the food which becomes boring. And they warmed the food in the microwave. But other then that they have amazing desserts and the place looks amazing inside.

The coziest place on earth, best restaurant in town - Edit
Had the best soup and desserts in this new restaurant. Plenty of delicious options as well as healthy ones. This place has this kind of a "cool grandmothers house" vibe and Faro really needs more vegan spaces.

Served non vegan mustard and consummed it!! - Edit
Very upset as I consumed food containing eggs! I have been vegan for a long time for the animals! myself and my husband were shocked that a cafe saying it's vegan should not make sure all products are vegan!
Read moreCons: Not 100% vegan!!!

Our food is 100% vegan for sure. The egg was unfortunately inside the mustard that was brought by mistake from the supermarket. We definitely replaced that mustard brand for a Vegan one, in front of you, right after your complaint. We do apologize for what happened, and you also left without paying two whole meals. We were as sad and disappointed as you were, because being 100% vegan is always our point.
