I was happy to find this cute little gem. Its so charming. The owner, the place, they also sell great soaps! The food was fine but next time i would go there for lunch and have it there. I had a take away dinner and I think I would have enjoyed it more when it was freshly cooked and not out of that packaging.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
I came here twice during my stay in Faro, enjoying a seitan burger with french fries, lasagna with salad and, of course, some delicious pastel de nata. Also, people are very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Read moreDirty floor, dirty table, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen-counter! Anyway once we were inside, we ordered a vegan croquet and two burgers. The vegan croquet was cold and tasted like something made few days before.
This wasn’t enough: burgers come cold too, buns and chips from a big plastic bag. We were so upset and refused to eat something.
The only positive thing is that the owner did not let us pay the dinner (that we didn’t eat).

It was hard to find in South Portugal, but in Faro they have vegan nata!! Easy to make it vegan.

Disappointed but has potential - Edit
We went here because of the good reviews. It’s not bad but it’s also not good. There’s a lot of soy in the main dishes we had (stuffed potato and Chili). The flavours are bland and because there’s soo much soy in it there’s a lack of other spices and ingredients like vegetables. The potato for instance only had soy, mushroom and vegan cheese in it.
Read moreThe dishes itself are creative and have a lot of potential so if they work on the ingredients it can become very good. For us it was just too expensive for what you get. I make stuffed sweet potato at home as well and I put way more ingredients in them (tomato salsa with onions, beans, corn, guacamole and spring onion). Same for the Chili it only had soy and beans in it, you can also put some red bell peppers, corn, tomato and spices in it because it’s a Chili.
Pros: Everything is vegan
Cons: Expensive for what you get, Taste of the food is not good, Lack of ingredients

had a burger and a really nice salad, large portions. tucked out of the way so you have to look for it. reasonably priced as well. They don't have a card machine and I didn't see the sign before eating, not their fault I didn't see it but make sure you bring cash!

It’s always amazing to find a full vegan place, knowing you can eat everything and anything without having to double check. From quiche to burgers and amazing desserts, including the world famous custard tarts, every dish we tried was amazing. We took a few things to go as well, and are still enjoying the delicious flavors the day after.

The service was fantastic, and although the owner didn’t speak much English he was lovely and managed to tell us what things were and give recommendations. The place is very traditional and quaint, and the food was delicious. The pastel de nata was so good I honestly would’ve questioned whether it was actually vegan custard!

Vegan Box offer delicious vegan options presented in a beautiful way, complete with a beautiful monstera leaf placemat (see my photos). The person running the shop didn't speak English, but this was not a problem at all, as you're able to order by pointing to the food (which he is cooking behind the glass). I personally preferred this way because we were able to see what the food looked like before ordering. Nonetheless, this guy was kind and definitely cared about his customers.

What a great place! Amazing food (had rice with Seitan and mushroom cream sauce and salad with olives), lovely place, lovely staff. And the seem to be vegan out of the right (ethical) reasons, according to the images they put up. Will come back soon!

The vegan pastel de nata is too die for ! I had a two meals of the day one Straganoff and one pasta bolognese. Both were delicious. With a nice cold pressed juice to go with it and for desert a Pastel de nata( but there were a lot of cake options ). Long opening hours from 11am to 11pm. Would recommend this place to everyone who is in Faro !

We started off with a couple of pastel de nata’s, which were great. Then we had a burger which was good, lacked a bit of flavour diversity in the preparation but it was pretty good. Dessert was awesome, coconut cake and a mousse of berries. Both delicious!
