I had the fungi burger with sweet potato and a carrot/apple juice. Was really delicious. For dessert I had the Oreo cake wich was as tasty as I expected. The staff is also very kind. They have so many options I want to go back there asap.

Went here before our flight and it was good to finally get a vegan Pasteis de nata. They were lovely and got the chocolate one to take away too. Coffee was lovely with cinnamon on top. We also tried the chorizo croquettes which were tasty. Wish we tried more of the tapas like food

This is a charming little place serving tasty, simple and affordable dishes. I had the “Vegalhau” which was delicious. I also had a selection of savoury and sweet pastries to take away. There was a lot of choice!

The people are nice, but the food is oftentimes boring and dry. Looks nice, but dull in taste. We only tried their pastries so I cannot say anything about their normal dishes but we tried it a couple of times and we were not impressed. We also think they might have scammed us so ask about the prices before you buy anything.

I was so glad to find somewhere that had authentic Portuguese dishes. The only thing that gets me about being vegan is missing out on so many cultural dishes from other countries, so I'm very thankful to find somewhere that can provide that!

My fiancé and I visited for dinner last- I had "vegalhau" and my partner had the tofu burger. Both tasted great and portions were generous. We took some pastries home for dessert and went back for more today!

Right from the moment I walked in I knew this place had what it takes.
Read moreThe serving counter is quite large and can display quite a few of the vegan delights on offer.
Most of the seating is on the first floor and it’s a good place to eat and catch up on some work and maybe meet other cruelty free eaters.
Staff are really passionate about the place and we talk about how they opened exactly as the pandemic hit and how they managed to survive.
I really hope the family own the building or have a long lease (trespass) as this plant based brand seems built to last and maybe they will build a roof terrace as that would be awesome, we can get our vegan sunscreen ready.

Nice no-nonsense place with super nice staff. Food was not that amazing though. I had the seitan burger/sandwich with had pretty stale bread and only two small slices of seitan so I was mostly eating bread with mayonnaise. Our starter and sweets were OK but not great either. The roasted sweet potato was very nice though, I would have that again any day.

Really friendly staff who clearly care about the animals. More of a place for lunch than a fancy dinner. Everything we had was brilliant and really well priced. Very reasonable. The smoothy was a little watery though.

Excellent Vegan Restaurant in Faro - Edit
We had a terrific experience (Apr 5, 2023). It was satisfying to find a fully vegan restaurant in Faro. Bruna, the owner(?) , was charming and helpful as we made our meal choices. We shared 2 dishes: her take on a Bacalhau-like vegan dish. Excellent. And the bean burger was great. Looking forward to visiting again.
