Remove this listing! - Edit
Wish I could give zero stars. First of all, we could not find this place. There are no signs that say Vegan 15 anywhere. The address is actually the Tripp Wyndham Hotel. We went inside and asked for Vegan 15 and they directed us to a small, rundown bar area of the shabby lobby. We asked there if this was Vegan 15 and the bartender ignored us. So we left. This listing really should be removed from HappyCow.

Disappointed - Edit
I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. I had checked out the menu previously, it got me excited. I went with the chicken Parmesan pasta, which I was highly disappointed with the outcome. Didn’t really match the description on the menu. It was tasteless and was not worth $20 at all. It seemed like jarred pasta sauce, and a vegan chicken with melted cheese placed on top. This would be an extreme low effort meal to cook at home for myself. I gave it two star for friendly staff and the selection of food on the menu.

Avoid unless you are stuck - Edit
This is a restaurant located in the lobby of a middling hotel located in a glum area of NYC: this area of NYC consists mostly of businesses, hotels, and car traffic--few people actually would live in this area. The restaurant serves meat, but has a separate all-vegan page of their menu which is listed as a separate venue--"Vegan 15"--but it is really just a portion of a larger restaurant.
Read moreAs far as I can tell, there is no chef that cooks freshly made food to order. Rather, it seems as if they grab ready-made food from the fridge/freezer and heat it up. However, they don't always heat it up properly: the previous review (in German) complained that the broccoli in her Buddha bowl was still frozen, and also complained that the food was tasteless and quite unlike what was listed in the menu. An online search revealed a bunch of other people had similar complaints, and many people who ordered delivery had mistakes in their orders; could not get refunds; etc.
I was with a friend who was staying at this hotel, but upon seeing the place, I could not bring myself to order a meal here--we ate someplace else, and came here for dessert. The dessert (a sorbet) was fine, but they did not have any other vegan desserts (contrary to what seemed promised online). Also, if you do go here, note that they add the tip to your check automatically.
If you are visiting NYC and staying in this hotel and are stuck here, it is nice that they have vegan options. But be forewarned: despite the attractive name (Vegan 15), this is not a gourmet place, or an inexpensive place, or a place to choose if you have the opportunity to eat at one of the many other fine vegan or vegan-friendly places in walking distance.
