Serves meat, vegan options available. Thai food. Menu includes selection of vegetarian appetizers and entree section; most vegetarian items are also vegan. Open Mon-Sat 11:30am-3:00pm, 4:30pm-9:00pm.
Love ever dish I have tried!!! Have gone to this restaurant a couple times and the staff is always friendly and informative about what’s vegan and what’s not! Very accommodating when a small change needs to be made.
Almost at the end of the L streetcar line, Vanida Thai Kitchen is a pleasant local restaurant on quiet business street. Inside you will find good food with many vegetarian options. Like most veg friendly Thai restaurants, Vanida offers a complete vegetarian section for both appetizers and entrees.
We had the#79, Tofu Curry, which had a great sauce, although my wife thought there were a few too many onions. The #84 Tofu Cashew Nut was good, the cashews were present, although maybe a few less than I'm used to.
The #17 Thai French Fries were delicious, although they may have been a bit bland (I actually liked them that way, made the sauce stand out more).
The coconut ice cream was probably not vegan (I will ask next time), but it was delicious and had the nice touch of added baked shredded coconut sprinkled on top.
