Great vegan options

The staff was wonderful, they gave lots of great vegan options.

I chose the:

Sweet Behl 13
roasted sweet potato, maple-tamarind chutney
puffed rice, chaat masala, green chilies, basil, mint

AND

Wild Mushrooms 15
goat lady chevre, aged vinegar, grilled bread

(WITHOUT THE GOAT CHEESE)

Pros: Nice casual restaurant, Private room available for large parties, Staff was very helpful

First class restaurant that understands vegan choices

I was pleasantly surprised by the Vegan choices at Urban Wren. Their menu has several plant forward options, but nothing is marked. However the server was confidently versed in what was an option as is, and what they could adapt. I ended up with several options in each section of Small Plates and Shareables, and one main. Too many for me to try them all! The only dessert option currently was a Tamarind Sorbet, which it was too cold out for me to feel like trying. Their menu changes though, and apparently they'd been planning on another vegan option for dessert that didn't work out. Thats how versed the server was, he knew they'd had to add gelatin to a dessert that had previously been planned as vegan.

Hopefully they'll consider adding a 'vegan friendly' indication on their menu in the future, and continue their excellent choices. There were also several vegetarian dishes, several of which I'll add photos of because my partner enjoyed them.

Pros: Excellent, knowledgeable service, Delicious vegetable dishes seasoned perfectly, One of the best wine selections in Greenville

Cons: Could use a desert selection, Would love to see a vegan protein on the menu, Marked options on the menu would be helpful
