Small but good vegan menu

The ramen was good (not authentic) but the spiced chickpea toast was the showstopper here with lightly crispy roast chickpeas on avocado toast.

On a Wednesday evening there was no crowd

Pros: Good light feeling food , Several vegan options

Heart of Armagh

We struggled to find somewhere in Armagh with vegan items marked on the menu looking online. Tourist info kindly informed me that this place had vegan options on the dinner menu. They are not online and the online menu is a carnivores feast and quite hard to read to be honest. On arrival there was a vegetarian/vegan menu on display in the foyer so we ventured in. We were able to book a table but it is definitely worth booking as they were pretty booked up. There were three starters and three mains. I ordered the wontons and was then informed that they weren't vegan. We shared flatbread and noodle starters. The flatbread was delicious. The noodles were tasty but a bit oily and oniony for me. I had the tagine served with bread and rice. It was good to get plenty of vegetables and there was a nice seedy/nutty sprinkle on the top that added a welcome texture to the dish which was quite plain. The brownie was delicious, served warm with fruit and big enough to share. Our coffee order was rushed so we were delighted when the waitress remembered and offered soya or almond milk without prompting. The few sips of merlot were good and coffee nice too. I would recommend this place. Nice ambience and grown up decor too. Shame it doesn't say on their website about catering for vegan diets.
UPDATE
Vegan items are now on the main menu and also online now. This time I had a delicious creamy mushroom risotto and a vegan pannacotta and a glass of Pinot Grigio. It was all good. My non vegan friends enjoyed their food too. Very quiet in the restaurant this time, a Saturday night.

Friendly staff and vegan options.

Pros: Vegan menu and helpful staff, 4 or 5 choices for starters and mains, Vegan brownie is delicious

Cons: Only one vegan dessert , Too much oil on noodles for my taste
