Great vegan bar food - Edit
I stayed at the Armagh City Hotel on 14 February 2025, and had dinner at the bar. The vegan/vegetarian menu was available seperately to the main menu, and had a good range of options. I had the balti with samosas and minted soya yoghurt, with an almond and raspberry tart and soya latter for dessert. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly.

Separate vegan/vegetarian menu - Edit
Went for a weekend with friends. Had a good dinner and breakfast. For dinner I had a melon starter but there was also a baked samosa option. I had coconut curry which was a good mix of veg and not oily or creamy. There was a vegan burger option. For pudding I had a chocolate orange pudding with vegan ice cream. It was like a steamed sponge pudding with a hot chocolate sauce. There was also an almond tart option and a fruit salad option. For breakfast I was able to get two vegan sausages cooked to order. I think they prefer notice and despite a phone call the kitchen weren’t aware. I helped myself to tomatoes, mushrooms, beans. Also fruit salad and ground seed mix. The granary bread and jam were vegan but I didn’t have space to try those - maybe tomorrow!
