The best damn Reuben ever - Edit
I decided on a last second stop here and IT WAS WORTH IT. The best damn Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. The ingredients mix perfectly together and the thousand island dressing is incredible. I wish they had a location in nj or nyc! They would fit right in. Hope to be back again on my travels someday. So stop by! You’ll be glad you did! Yuuummmmm 😍

Curb side pickup currently. Food was actually really good. The wings had a lovely crisp outside, and everything had good flavor and juiciness.

OG Iowa City Vegan Food - Edit
Trumpet Blossom is (currently) the only entirely vegan restaurant in the Iowa City area, and is truly a veg safe place. I tell all my friends that TB has the best fries in Iowa City, and I could drink the maple cayenne aioli that they’re served with. They do rotating specials on the weekends, so make sure you ask your server about them because I’ve had some fantastic dishes (the breaded mushroom/mashed potato burrito stands out the most for sure). They do some sandwich recreations with a vegan BLT and Reuben, but also have plenty of other pasta, salad, soup, and app options. The cocktail/drink menu is also definitely worth checking out! I still order from here several times a week, and I’ve never been disappointed!

Delicious and comfortable - Edit
I was so glad to find this on Happy cow - a quick walk from the hotel I was staying at! The vibe inside is welcoming and comfortable. The server was very friendly. Loved both the fettuccine Alfredo (so many delish local veg in it) and my partner had the meatballs which were tasty too. We finished off with an apple crumble! 10/10!!

Homemade bread, fresh, local ingedients. So glad I found it on HC while on a road trip through Iowa. Kinda sad it's 3.5 hours from where I live.

Not what I asked for - Edit
I was so excited to eat here for the first time. I got the seitan reuben to go 05/07 and asked specifically for no onions. After my 45 minute ride home I saw that there were onions on both sandwiches. UGH $30 worth of food wasted. So upsetting.

My Favorite Vegan Restaurant - Edit
I haven't found a place across the U.S. that holds a candle to this restaurant. It's nice to be able to come home to the Midwest and have vegan comfort food waiting at Trumpet Blossom Cafe! Their staff is always personable, there are lots of underground music events if you're into that scene, and occasional film screenings on a projector. All around a cool scene, vegan af.

LOVE - Edit
I’ve been trying to come here for a while but I live out of town. Today my husband and I came and I’m in love! I got the BLT and my husband got the Reuben with sweet potato fries and for dessert we shared a vanilla cake with sweet potato icing with black berry drizzle. The atmosphere of the place is pleasant and fun. Beautiful place! Absolutely recommend!

Good, but needs better flavors - Edit
It's a great option for vegans! I had brunch once and went for dinner and got the special for dinner another time. My main takeaway is that the food is good, but the flavor left me wanting more. They have plenty of options, but not an overwhelming number. Their cocktails were AMAZING and I don't say that lightly.

So amazing - Edit
This is true, hand-crafted vegan food that tastes delicious and doesn't seem to have fake/processed ingredients. Have been for dinner and brunch - both fantastic. Back patio is lovely with a green canopy and river noises - rather than street sounds and traffic. Have not seen a live music show here yet, but am looking forward to it!

A Gem! - Edit
Was visiting Iowa City and stopped here for dinner. Arrived during happy hour and was provided a happy hour menu with many options. Since I have a vegan nacho problem, I ordered those and wasn't disappointed! The perfect portion- and the cashew cheese was delicious. They were out of jalapeños so substituted spicy pickles zucchini which was delicious. I had a glass of Cabernet with my nachos, and left a happy person. My partner ordered the reuben platter and loved it- with sweet potato fries.
