A solid pick - Edit
I dined in but most of the business is clearly takeaway. It’s simple inside and pretty much what you would expect. The flavors were excellent and there are several good vegan options. Overall the prices are very reasonable, I will absolutely be returning.

Very strong vegan options: thai basil, curries, stirfried ginger, the works. I really, really recommend the Hawkeye Roll which is basically a really quality salad roll. This place has been here since at least 2003 when I first began my studies at UIowa and the quality has never wavered. I never come back to visit without going there and eating (these days taking it out in a box, due to COVID19.)

Plenty of vegan options- the pad thai doesn't have fish sauce in it which is nice, too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Great place for Thai downtown - Edit
Thai Flavors has lots of options, including two non-meat proteins (tofu and gluten), The Hawkeye Rolls are great, They also serve brown rice upon request, though for an extra charge.
