Nice, friendly cafe - Edit
Truly Scrumptious is set off the road a bit so might not be immediately obvious, but it's worth keeping an eye out to try some of their tasty vegan dishes. The menu includes fries or jacket potato with vegan chilli, a vegan cooked breakfast, vegan slaw and a sandwich. When I went they had stopped doing the chickpea chutney sandwich others mentioned and replaced it with beetroot houmous. You can choose between white or wholemeal bread or a baguette, I went for a baguette as I was having it to takeaway and it's a convenient shape. It was very tasty with a decent amount of filling.

The cafe itself is very nice with a relaxed vibe. I especially really liked seeing all the knitted tea cosies on the teapots! I will definitely be back to eat in, especially for a jacket potato and pot of tea on a blustery autumn day!

Tasty vegan options! - Edit
For a small town there were some delicious vegan options on the menu here: chickpea chutney sandwich, vegan chilli on a jacket/chips and the vegan breakfast which is what I had. You get toast, homemade vegan haggis (didn't look particularly appealing but was delicious!) tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and hash browns. Would 100% get again! Don't forget to get the vegan ginger cake to take home as well, delicious when warmed up 😋 certainly lived up to it's name!!

I had the chickpea chutney sandwich which had lovely thick sliced bread and a side salad with vegan coleslaw.
