Ancient grains bowl.

I had the ancient grains bowl with snap peas, tofu, avocado, mushrooms, pistachio pesto, and sweet potatoes.

It tasted great. We’ll definitely be back.

Muy rico!

Pedí la hamburguesa con queso, y me encantó!

No simula una hamburguesa de carne pero tiene mucho sabor! La verdad es que me gustó mucho!

Pros: Rico, Lindo lugar, No es muy caro

Best thin crust vegan pizza!!

The crust is crispy and baked to perfection. My favorite is the house-made almond ricotta cheese!

Pros: Satisfies pizza craving and is anti-inflammatory, House made almond ricotta is delicious, Option to make your own

Cons: Have to eat more to fill you up

Pretty yum!

There are a good amount of vegan options at true food. I like that their menu is seasonal. Food left me feeling satisfied and not too full which I like.

Pros: Healthy options

Cons: A little pricey

Solid entry

I've been here twice. Ordered the winter salad, charred cauliflower, and Brussel sprouts.

The salad was good. Almost great. Actually for eating out, great lol. Every part of it was separately engineered and well done. The butter nut squash was seared nicely and not mush, the Kale wasn't bitter and was fresh, the beans were seasoned nicely, the Brussel sprouts were well roasted, etc. The tofu... Was well seared and had good texture. Idk why people are afraid to season it though. Still, it didn't detract from the salad at all and I'd probably get it added on again just for the toothsome bites it added.

The charred cauliflower was probably the star. Charred nicely, little bits of date added, and a tumeric sauce thing going on that drew the two together. I would get this every time.

The Brussels were nicely charred, but somehow lacking in flavor. Idk if it needed more salt or vinegar or what. It was just... Flat.

I'd come here again. I know it's a chain, but it was clean, the food well executed, and he price just a touch high for what you get.

Pros: A decent selection of salads, Good appetizers , Clean and friendly

Cons: Not a lot of entree options, No beer on draft , Food lacked any real soul

Good Menu, Meh Food

I've eaten at three of these (it's a chain) - Chicago, PA and VA. It's always been the same: I get excited by the menu and then disappointed by the food. It's fine when I'm on the road and want some healthy, lighter food. But I'd like a bit more flavor!

Pros: Healthy vegan options, Good when no other great places to get vegan food

Cons: Boring, Dishes rarely live up to expectations

Good and convenient

I had the Teriyaki Bowl with Tofu and it was actually pretty good. Their pink lemonade is also quite satisfying. Definitely worth it if you're in that area where tasty vegan options are a little hard to find.

Pros: Convenient and tasty, Healthier than other options around

Cons: Kind of expensive

I'm with you. The flavors felt very "safe". I guess that's to be expected in a chain, but it's disappointing at this price point.

McDonalds is more Vegan then True Food Kitchen in Reston

Made a reservation for a Mother's Day brunch (special request specified Mother Vegan), based on a HappyCow search. Arrived early, place was a quarter full yet we were led past numerous, empty, properly staged tables to the back near the takeout door to the outside. Table was filthy, unstable (only three of the legs hit the floor at the same time), unset, zero Mother's day ambiance (all the other tables were set with a cheesy yet festive center piece) and we were treated to a blast of the 40 degree weather when the takeout door was opened.

True Food has only three true Vegan entrees, (A pizza, burger and a quinoa bowl), but can ‘modify” some of the salads to be vegan. Nothing vegan on the limited brunch menu or in the Mother's day "specials". To be fair most of the desserts are vegan…and one or two of the sided...the server did offer to have the kitchen whip up avocado toast without the eggs, although he felt it wasn’t substantial enough to be a brunch that way.

We didn't just leave and try our luck on Mother's day some place else so we ordered three coffees (drip) a vegan mango coconut dessert and a flourless chocolate cake, we had a non-vegan with us. While the food and beverage quality was not bad, I’m certain it wasn’t worth the $30+ bill that came with it. Oh, and that rickety table, constantly sloshed the coffee over the rim when ever one of us moved...

Aside from the waiter, Duncan, that was really trying his best, this Reston Town Center establishment failed to provide even a modicum of customer service. For a restaurant to try to market and cash in on the vegan/plant-based health lifestyle crowd, there should be a requirement that a little better selection needs to be available before you can advertise vegan or vegan friendly...hence, as Vegan as MickeyD's. We’ll pass in the future, encourage others to do the same. Hear the Fairfax location might be better...

Pros: Waiter - Duncan, did his best,

Cons: Cost - over priced, Selection - limited for a Vegan friendly establish, Ambiance/Cleanliness

They know their veggies

I was so excited I ordered way too much. It is always such a treat to see a business incorporating seasonal items. Butternut squash pizza with almond ricotta? How can you NOT order that? Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection, the vegan squash pie scratched my autumnal itch, my cappuccino was A+, and our waiter could not have been more pleasant. This chain is definitely on my radar now.

Pros: Delicious and seasonal, Lots of options, Friendly staff
