We got their vegan options of tacos, one of them had chicken - when it should NOT have. But the worst part is that they are teeny tiny and too spicy

Errors and underwhelming - Edit
Don’t bother. Out of the five tacos we ordered, one didn’t show up at all, and two were lacking part of the order. When the last one finally show up, after we pointed this out, it was covered in something that we had already specified was an allergen. Also overpriced for ludicrously tiny portions, and the $13 margarita was completely average. The best that can be said is that everybody here was polite/nice, and our waiter ended up refunding us for one of the things that had an error. But eat elsewhere.

I believe they have three vegan taco options (cauliflower, mushroom, and falafel) and a few sides that are vegan-friendly as well. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and I really liked them! The side of black beans was delicious as well, and if I didn’t already have some at home I would have ordered guac and salsa on the side. I do feel like I had to dress up the tacos a lot, as they came mostly plain, but I still really enjoyed my meal. The spicy cucumber salad was very good too !!

A couple of good vegan options. The cauliflower tacos were nice and spicy. Not sure if they are a special for the holidays but the Brussels sprouts tacos were INCREDIBLE, super flavorful. The side of black beans was nice too. I didn't think the Portobello tacos were great, not much there when you take the cheese off but if you add some of the guac or beans from the sides they're much improved.

Great tacos and drinks! - Edit
The tacos were delicious! Our server/bartender was very talkative and informative and made sure our orders were correct before putting them in. You could tell he really cared about us having a good experience! And the food was delicious. I got the falafel, portabella, and cauliflower tacos (asked for vegan). The cauliflower was definitely my favorite, it had and nutty and had very complex flavors for such a little taco. The others were great too. They have a great selection of drinks as well, my sangria was delicious! This would be a great place to take a big group if you have veg and non-veg friends. Overall a great experience and will definitely go again.

Vegan surprises - Edit
I mean surprises in a good way. I have been to Reston Town Center a bunch of times, but not to eat here, because I didn't imagine there would be anything for me. I was wrong!
Read moreThey have three veg tacos - falafel, cauliflower and portobello. Then there are rice bowls with cauliflower or portobello. Yum!
They have sides also that are generous portions for sides like Asian slaw and cucumber salad, along with the expected chips and salsa or chips and guacamole. Add on some rice and beans, some pineapple, some plantains, and you will not be hungry. Be sure to specify dairy-free/ vegan, and they'll make your order perfectly.
As a chain with many locations, this place knows how to attend to those with food constraints/ dietary restrictions. I love them for that!
Just be careful when you order tacos, they reflect in price the amount of food. So, what I mean is, if I'm hungry, I will not be satiated with two tacos, and maybe even three might not be enough, but luckily there are many choices to complement the tacos!

So many vegan options! Cauliflower tacos, falafel tacos, mushroom tacos. I had low expectations for the falafel but I was blown away. Asian slaw gazpacho are both vegan as well and very tasty. Plaintains were phenomenal ( dip that it comes with isn’t vegan )

My bf and I are at bar taco and you order on a sheet sushi style which is nice because you write in requests. Also let them know you are vegan because they butter the tortillas before they grill them. The corn is good ask for it plain. The fresh pineapple with lime is simple and refreshing. I had the portobello no cheese, the cauliflower, and the falafel tacos all are very good! Cauliflower was my favorite.

We ate here a few weeks ago for the first time, and we were blown away! We requested our portobello, and cauliflower, tacos with no cheese, and the manager asked if we had an allergy. When we said no, but in fact we were vegan, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had plenty of things to choose from, and even made us a vegan dessert - on the house! We will be most definitely be back!

Excellent Vegan Options - Edit
I'm in Virginia on business and heard about Bar Taco. They are not 100% vegan but they have vegan options. I had the portobello tacos (remove cheese) and the cauliflower tacos. Both were amazing! I also had a mushroom mole tamale which was also very good. It would be great if they had a location in California.
