Menu changed recently with hardly a vegan option so staying away

Messaged the manager asking if they were willing to put more vegan options on the menu which she promised they would but didn’t get back me so haven’t been back. Sad really as their previous options were so tasty ☹️

Pros: ., ., .

Cons: ., ., .

Average pub food

Good selection of vegan food with separate menu in an area where there are precious few places offering the same. Credit to Marstons for making this happen. Need to confirm whether there is a separate fryer for vegan food.

The taste of the food was quite nice, albeit no more exceptional than you’d expect from a pub. The size and presentation of the food wasn’t great. The cost for a single meal was not good. Not sure whether the two for one offer extends to the vegan menu, but that wouldn’t be any use to me anyway, given that there’s three in my family (wife and daughter are not vegan). So £12 for an average burger is not competitive.

The pub itself is now dated and looks a bit tired. The staff were nice enough, but clearly overworked. I noticed other tables sending food back, although I don’t know the reasons why.

Would probably only return when my extended family want a quick pub meal in the local area - there’s nothing else around!

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Some good alternatives

Cons: Vegan menu more expensive , Average pub food, Tired looking pub
