New gastronomic experience - Edit
This relaxed venue made for a very fun new gastronomic experience. The food was delicious and the sharing platters were very inviting to sharing stories among friends. The menu options are expensive, beware! There is only one vegan option, but with enough variety within to please your curiosity and your tastebuds. A single option does mean you can’t have it too often though.

We had a nice dish with a variety of tastes, colours and textures. It was enjoyable to eat with our hands with injeera. Service was friendly.

Good food, but very expensive - Edit
The vegan platter was delicious and enough for 2-3 people. But 57 € are quite a price for what we got... Wouldn't pay that again. The place is nice though and obviously highly rated in Brussels.

Overrated - Edit
Sadly, the lentils had been burned and the food was overall good but nothing special.
Read moreSince I can't eat gluten, they gave me rice instead of injera but charged extra for it. I found this kind of weird because we got less injera therefore but only noticed it after we were home.
The service also felt kind of mechanical. It wasn't a bad experience but also not a very good one :/

Quite a nice place for a dinner - Edit
I choose the portion with Eggplant, zucchini, paprika and mushrooms. That was ok but taste was quite much the same as the vegetable pans in Greek restaurants. I was expecting something spicier and different. I need gluten free food so I couldn't taste the sour bread but the sauce worked well with the rice. The service was friendly and it was easy to find out which portions were vegan. Older kids liked the spicy lentil berberé and split peas with turmeric. The last one was very mild. The alcohol free moctails are worth trying!

Super tasty - Edit
Had the vegan sharing platter. It was really big portion, could have easily done 3 people. The flavours were so deep and rich, and the texture was just right. It was really enjoyable although they need some aircon!

Vegan degustation menu - Edit
There’s lots of vegan dishes on the menu (not marked, you have to ask) but I recommend the degustation menu for 2 if you’ve never been here before. You get 5 different dishes to try, with the typical sour dough bread on the side.

We had the "Ye-Tsom Beyanetu" as a menu for 2 people. It was very tasty, service was very friendly, nice atmosphere, clean and also priced ok. It was the first time Ethiopian for me.

I liked it! - Edit
They served many vegans meals. But the best is to choose the menu for 2. So you get a few of the meals on one plate. You can eat with your hands. You get bread whichs look like german "pfannkuchen" (sorry i cant describe this in english) and use this as knife and fork.

WOW, best food in Brussels! - Edit
My non-veg party all agreed, this was the best food we had on our entire trip. The staff was extremely accomodating and kind. They were very careful to put my dishes separate from the cheese or meat dishes on the platter, and came out frequently to make sure we were alright. I wish I could eat like this every day!

Super! - Edit
Went here with my (non-vegan) dad. They have a great vegan plate for two, and it was absolutely delicious, but when we asked if one of the small dishes could be replaced with something non-vegetarian for my dad, they panicked. In the end we had to take an extra dish, because they couldn't simply swap one dish with another.
Read moreThe rest of the evening was amazing. This was my first time eating in an Ethiopian restaurant and I loved it. You should definitely go here. The vegan plate is amazing and they have lots of other vegan choices. Staff knows what vegan is and they are really passionate about their food. We got a super cool explanation about how they make the (amazing!) spinach. It is a little expensive though. And you really have to make a reservation.
Pros: Lots of options, Passionate staff, Nice ambiance
Cons: A little expensive, Not able to change small things on the menu

Hardly vegan - Edit
Very friendly. Reservations needed. ALL (!) food contains garlic and there is no way to not have it in the food (we talked to the cook). We asked for vegan but only ONE item could be made vegan (i.e., no vegan items on menu). We had to leave w/o eating because no menu item remained vegan & garlic free.

Great vegan plate, lovely atmosphere - Edit
Before going to Brussels I did some HC research and found out about this place. I had my friend make a reservation and I directly understood why. The atmosphere amazed me directly. They serve their food at a big plate allowing you to eat all kinds of dishes with flat bread by hand.
Read moreThere are vegan options and there is a vegan plate for two, which had a nice selection of fine dishes. Would definitely recommend to "mixed couples" (one vegan other non vegan) as it allows the other to really get a great taste of plant based options :-)
Pros: friendly -vegan aware- staff, relaxing, soothing atmosphere, good price quality ratio
Cons: no vegan dessert options 😭(coffee was fine instead, reserve your table in advance!

This really blew my mind, each dish we ordered had so much flavour and the eating utensil i.e. The crepe like pancakes called ingera were really great too. A very fun place and very lively particularly at the weekends.

Back to Basic, eating with your hands - Edit
Super nice restaurant! I was here with one vegetarian and two omni's and we all loved it! I told the waitress I was vegan and she could easily tell me which dishes were vegan and which not. She also served the cheese separately. The dish you order is served in a small bowl, but you also get a bigger plate in the middle of the table with some bread and salad. The waiter will then divide the different dishes onto the big plate, because sharing is caring in African kitchen! Although the two omni's ordered a meat dish, the waitress made sure the meat wouldn't be served on the big plate on the side of me an the vegetarian person, which was really nice! this way we could still try all the dishes and share one plate, but the meat wouldn't get on my side.
