Roast restaurant & pub chain - be warned that it's a carvery and is primarily meat-centered, but there will be vegan menu options, which may vary from season to season. Sample vegan choices might be an allotment pie, vegetable roast, grilled aubergine stack, and/or mushroom tart. Or you could order a few sides to make a full meal, like choosing the roast potatoes, stuffing, apple sauce, cranberry sauce, mint sauce, etc. Help yourself to vegetables from the carvery next to the meat: will provide non-buttered veggies on request. Who knew Toby Carvery had vegan options

Decided to head in mid-week on the way home as we were feeling hungry (but not thrilled to cook at home!). We went in expecting to swiftly leave due to lack of options, but were delighted to see that they had 2 vegan options; admittedly, 1 was a house salad 🥱, but they also had a Spinach & Mushroom Pithivier (Crisp puff pastry with onion, wilted spinach and mushrooms) on the menu. I saw that for vegan dishes, I could ask the server for freshly steamed vegetables and vegan gravy (which I did). I placed my order with the very friendly server, and eagerly waited for my meal. I was very pleasantly surprised with my pithivier and veg - tasty! My partner is veggie/plant based, so opted for a broccoli and brie parcel, which he says was very tasty - he got his veg from the carvery "deck" and came back with Mac and cheese and loads of veggies.

Whilst not having a massive vegan/veggie range, it's good to know if you're out with meat eaters, that you're safe to get something tasty here.
