It’s a nice location! We were surprised at how short the wait was on a Saturday. There’s only a few options that are vegan. I got the tofu scramble and it was underwhelming, the tofu had no flavor. The service was also not good. We were sat, ordered our drinks & food, got our food but there was no follow up or check in during our meal. It just felt very disjointed. We were also with someone who was GF, and they mentioned not feeling good after we ate despite triple checking with our waitress about their bread. I don’t believe I would go again.
I really wanted to like this place because I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, but the menu had one vegan option when I was there. It was the worst tofu scramble I’ve ever had. It was so bad— like just tofu with a lot of tumeric and nothing else. I could’ve just had fruit toast and coffee if the coffee was good but it was the worst cup of coffee I’ve had in a while. The server was very nice, though.
This is a very popular, lively spot. Vegan items are clearly labelled on the menu, and the waitress told us about other items that could be made vegan. We had the tofu scramble with fruit, air-fried sweet potato fries, and home fries. Delicious! They have oat milk and almond milk for the coffee. The cinnamon buns are vegan except for the honey. Quick service and friendly staff.
First time going to this establishment. Found them on the HappyCow app. Was happy they had vegan options BUT not much. I ordered the Tofu Scramble with a biscuit. My daughter ordered pancakes and a side of home baked potatoes. I hate to compare but I have to. Just a week ago I was in Wildwood and had tofu scramble at Stella's. It was so good and my first time having it. Unfortunately for this place (Toast), their tofu scramble doesn't even come close to Stella's. Even Stella's coffee was sooooo good. At Toast, their coffee was gross. And what was worse was the service. We sat right by the door so we had people's [censored] in our faces the whole time. My biscuit came hard and cold. My tofu was almost room temperature. And the home fries were not homemade. They tasted thawed out. A bunch of little squares. At Stella's the home potatoes were REAL potatoes made fresh. I had to repeatedly ask for butter and jelly. And my daughter barely touched her home fries and told the waitress so. She still charged us for them. And when I asked for another juice box for my granddaughter the waitress had nerve to charge us another dollar. Wow. So needless to say her tip was low to make up for the service and barely touched home potatoes.
