Good options, tasty food.

We've been here twice and had lovely food both times. Despite having quite a small menu there are multiple vegan options. Service is good and it's a beautiful location so all round winner. Wanted to give 5 ⭐ but not allowed as it also serves omni food.

Pros: Good variety of options , Stunning location

Not great

Limited options for vegetarians. Just the usual bread and mushroom scenarios. Then there was this so called jackfruit wrap which never saw any jackfruit but some wilted salad inside of it. Very underwhelming. Chunky chips were nice but with the tiniest portion of mayo for 2ppl. Typically vegetarian options are smaller than others.

Pros: Serving lady was nice.

Review

Not very many vegan options since reopening . The separate vegan menu has gone and very little choice . Was very disappointed used to enjoy a vintage Inn but will now avoid

Pros: Nice place and friendly service

Cons: No decent vegan choices

Nice vegan menu

Nice dedicated vegan menu (ask for the vegan menu if they don’t give you one as the main menu only reflects a small number of the available vegan options).

The Moving Mountains burger is not served with chips (as apparently they cook non-vegan things in the same fryer as the chips).

I tried two of the vegan starters, the soup of the day and the wild mushroom and beetroot pasty. The soup was served with vegan bread (not butter but that was fine by me). The pasty was really good, clearly made fresh (puff pastry and lots of filling)— not a mass produced pasty. The filling was a variety of mushrooms along with beetroot hummus which worked really well! Would order again!

Pros: Separate vegan menu: starters, mains, desserts, Tasty, clearly freshly made pasty

Cons: A little pricey
