Love it! - Edit
The Springhill Tavern (sister pub to Nevill Arms on Astwood Bank nr Redditch) is a great find. They have a separate vegan menu with some amazing and tasty dishes on - starters, mains & deserts, as well as a mostly vegan wine list.

Lovely comforting pub food - Edit
They have updated and extended their vegan menu and there is now lots of choice. You have to ask for it though.
Read moreThe ambience and decor is nice, in a good British pub type way. We all had the Mediterranean tart which was very tasty with delicate crumbly but not dry pastry. Shame it didn’t warn about the chilli though as it was too spicy for my father in law. The rest of it would have it again any time. And whilst the salad was basic ingredients (iceberg lettuce and cheap tomatoes), it was tasty and the dressing was very nice. Some of us substituted chips (which were basic frozen type) but the new potatoes were served roasted and were excellent.
Overall a really comfortable and good value option. I wouldn’t call it upmarket or rate it with two pound signs like the description, but don’t think it is the worse for it, just different.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Charmingly Britishy, Tasty food served quickly
Cons: Very extensive menu of cheap meat & fish options

Great food, fair price - Edit
Me and my partner may be making this a regular thing coming here, he's a meat eater, I'm veggie and both of us left happy and full. Good choice of dishes for vegans and vegetarians. Caters to all which in this day and age is the best of both worlds! Wish I could give 5 stars but the app won't let me 😂

New Vegan Menu - Edit
In the last 4 weeks the Springhill have created a new vegan menu. There are three starters, five main course choices and three sweet choices. Visited the place on Thursday and was not disappointed with the food and choices. Sadly, they do still serve meat and fish but thumbs up for the new vegan menu with the choices presented on a separate printed card. Well worth a visit.

Better than expected - Edit
The staff member was able to tell me straight away that there was one vegan option on the menu (vegetable curry) and a special: pumpkin and apricot tagine with coconut rice. The tagine seemed homemade and was really tasty and a good serving size. The pub itself is nice enough, you'd never guess they catered for vegans as it's fairly traditional in appearance and the menu is meat-heavy but has a reasonable vegetarian section.
