Probably closed :: Middle & Latin American spirit - Edit
Sept. 2022: Seems now to be closed much of the time :: Formerly, a romantic restaurant straight in the East Village. Now fast-food but good. Friendly staff. Subway (Metro) stop Astor Place is very close as well as several bus stops, to. Standup comedy show on some days in the evening.

Vegan chicharrón to die for! - Edit
I dream about these and actually want to try to make them at home. Latin vegan food is hard to come by and this place is a great option in NYC. The Bandeja Paisa is a MUST especially if you’re Colombian, I mean, it’s a staple! Didn’t like the empanadas though. Bring a location to LA! There is no vegan Colombian food here.

Burrito for take away - Edit
Everything vegan, a lot of different meals to choose, sadly french fries where sold out so I took plantain, which I like a little bit more crunchy. My cauliflower Burrito was quite nice… a pinch of more spice, and it is perfect… just took my food away, so I can not say anything about the service inside.

Everything on the menu is tasty and filling. Lots of gluten-free options. Try the Bandeja Paisa - it's a plate with a little bit of everything -- rice & beans, plantains, avocado, arepas, etc.

In the Vegan Food Court - Edit
In the Vegan Food Court, you order on a screen, choosing from one of three restaurants--currently the V Spot, May Kaidee, and Marty's V Burger--plus a vegan bakery, JamCakery. So in essence, the Vegan Food Court is four eateries in one; if you are in a group, everybody can have something they like! There are places to sit, both inside and outside, and some nights they have comedy shows in this venue. The food at all the places here--including the V Spot--is great, definitely worthy checking out if you like vegan food!

Tasty food - Edit
V Spot is now part of the Vegan Food court on Saint marks which comprises of 4 restaurants so this is a great place to come for a plethora of vegan options. I had the Bandeja Paisa vegana which was the most expensive item on the Vspot menu and it was truly tasty and filling. I also had a green ginger drink which went down smooth.

LOVE it here - Edit
The vegan quesadilla was soooooo incredible. I love the vibe inside and even though it’s a “food court “ it is super nice and sweet inside and sit down.

Vegan Latin excellence - Edit
I hade the guacamole (heavy with the red onion and large portion) and the quinoa burrito, which was deliciously on point. Washed it down with a tropical smoothie. I look forward to coming back here and enjoying the funky village vibe with some great food!

Great vegan find in NYC - Edit
The empanadas from here are awesome. Full of flavour and spice, depending which ones you pick. Really like the system they have there where you can order from multiple places in the court at once on a self serve terminal. Means you can really mix and match food as a group.

Great! - Edit
I used to come here before it changed from just The V Spot to the Vegan Food Court. Food is the same, maybe a bit more expensive. It’s absolutely delicious! The format is also different - used to be a sit down restaurant, and now there are self service computers used to order food. You sit down (if you choose to eat in) and the food is then brought to you. Drinks are also great. I recommend the spicy michelada.

Delicious! - Edit
This is a “food court” combo of a few different restaurants so much to choose from! Had the vspot empanada, drumsticks and ginger juice. My favorite was the buffalo sticks, but bbq and Thai chili were also good. The empanada was good, with the sauce poured on it definitely made it. The juice was very good and refreshing. My friends had the BLT wrap and were very happy they got it. It was really hard to just choose a few things from the menu because everything looked so good.

Worth a visit - Edit
It’s a Latin, vegan spot in the land of Japanese fast food—you got to give them credit! Food is fine and interesting. The venue is a little strange hodgepodge of decor/activities (video games, stand-up comedy, Latin music), but manages to create a wholesome, happy vibe. A good spot for late night eating.

Food was okay, poor service - Edit
My friends and I ordered the appetizer sampler, which included a columbian empanada, red bean empanada, buffalo strips, nachos supreme, and avocado fries. We also got the plantains, which was only $3!!! I liked the empanadas, nachos, and plantains. I liked how they had the sampler because we got to try a bunch of different items. For dessert, we got the warm sundae which was pretty good as well. The place wasn't too crowded when we got there, but we had to keep flagging down servers. All in all, the food was okay but the service could be better.

Great place! I went with a friend and we got a green juice, chips and salsa, the Bandeja Paisa, and the V-Spot Burrito.

Very cute vibes inside. The char on the burrito and the crisp of the empanada were perfect. The salsa on the table had the most flavor though. The burrito had a slight taco Bell taste , but was very good with the salsa on top

Great Latino Cuisine! - Edit
Wow! So glad we stopped by here! The flavors were very reminiscent of my trip to Puerto Rico. We tried the empanadas as an appetizer and we enjoyed them immensely. I ordered their combo platter with rice, beans, seasoned seitan, platanos and more and it was so good! They was also a comedy show going on in the back ( and downstairs I think) but we were more interested in the food so we did not check it out. They have another location in Brooklyn but I did not get there. This one is definitely worth a visit!
