Had lots of hard-to find products in their snack section. Bought a vegan mac and polenta fries. Both were awesome. Dessert was also tasty. Staff was so lovely. Finding any excuse I can to go back here again!

Great Place for Grab & Go Meals! - Edit
The Sweet Beet is such a gem. My partner and I usually go a couple times a month and treat ourselves to some delicious grab and go meals (and sweets). Some of the items are a little pricey, but well worth it. The custom cakes are amazing!
Read moreSide note: We think it’s such a testament to the owner’s talent that in addition to all items being vegan, they are also gluten free, soy free, peanut free, organic and non GMO.

All about this place - Edit
Impressive food, small menu though. They have all sorts of vegan food, on the grocery side, including a great plant based cheese selection. All vegan! Got the No Egg Salad sandwich, which was very satisfying. Unfortunately gluten free only bread, but it was actually quite good. Tried a peanut butter cupcake thing which had a dry batter, but it was balanced by the insanely good and rich frosting. Still could use a bit of work on the reducing the dryness of the batter though (I've had vegan cupcakes before, even gluten-free, that were some of the fluffiest, most moist I've ever had).
Read moreAlso tried the Chickpea of the Sea sandwich, mini cupcake which was pretty good. The Italian rainbow cookies were good but a little dry texture of the cake. Strawberry funfetti donut was amazing. Sun nut butter chocolate tree was good but the butter inside could have been better.

Tiny town gem - Edit
Come for the baked goods, come back repeatedly for the full menu. The staff are gracious and attentive, the food quality is great, and the market items are varied and interesting. Good support for local products, too. But above all: the baked goods. Seriously.

A gem all around - Edit
Traveling from CT to NY, we didn't expect to find many vegan options around this area, let alone such an awesome and fully vegan spot!
Read moreThe staff and the food were fantastic. The place is clean and we'll organized. Prices reflect the quality of the ingredients.
We tried the N'Egg and the chickpea of the sea sandwiches (egg salad and tuna salad), which were both delicious, as was the mushroom soup. The baked goods were also great and the coffee (french press!). They also have fresh made juices and a market with vegan products that are often not readily available.
Will definitely stop here the next time we can remotely heading in this direction.
Pros: Great food, Great staff, Beautiful shop
Cons: No restroom, but it's not a sit down place

I love this place - Edit
I am a frequent customer and love going here as much as I can. They made my Birthday cake for me last year and was my favorite cake I ever had. I love seeing the new menu for baked goods they post every day they open. All they’re pre made foods u take home to bake are delicious and the soups they make daily and sandwiches they prepare when u order are so yummy, they make a tuna/egg salad chickpea style. I love this place so much. The staff and owner are extremely nice. Also have a great small selection of vegan speciality grocery items for sale.

Pricey, but worth it! - Edit
I was really happy to find some obscure vegan treats and delicious prepared foods. The costs add up (certainly more than buying similar items at a co-op or Whole Foods), but I’m happy to throw down the cot difference to support a woman-owned all-vegan operation 💪

Super leckeres essen in - Edit
Haben gestern the sweet beet ausprobiert und es war super! Wir hatten alle Sandwiches (chickpea of the sea, n. Egg sandwich, curry chickpea) und soap of the day. Absolute weiterempfehlung!

Amazing! - Edit
I eat mostly vegan diet and recently diagnosed with hormonal imbalances and no have to stay away from gluten, dairy and refined sugar. Well, that’s not easy to do when you have a sweet tooth like mine.
Read moreThe sweet beet has been a game changer for me! First, all of their ingredients are non-gmo, vegan, gluten free, and majority (if not all) ingredients are organic. They also use better sweeteners like beets, maple syrup, dates, coconut sugar, etc to sweeten - nothing artificial, no sugar alcohols
Second, their foods and desserts are AMAZING. I’ve never had any desserts that are so clean taste so good. Their vegan Mac and cheese is also a game changer.
I honestly am so grateful for this place. Their prices may seem a bit pricey, but that’s because they use such quality ingredients and realistically that’s what food SHOULD cost, our society is just used to hormone/pesticide filled food sadly.
Long review summed up: go to the sweet beet, you’ll absolutely love it!!!!
Pros: All vegan, gluten free and dairy free, Non-gmo ingredients and organic , Everything is so good!!
Cons: Closed on Sunday and Monday

Sweet Beet - Edit
Tried their chickpea sandwich, the bread was really good (never tried gluten free before so was impressed) but the chickpea needed just a little more flavor & the sandwich was tiny. Tried their mini vanilla cupcake & chocolate chip & it was so good, I ended up bring a box of 6 home. Small sitting area and also has a fridge section with to go plates. Friendly staff and quiet area.

Stuck in CT due to airline issues. Used Happy Cow to find the nearest v restaurant. Took a 20 mile Lyft to local rarity and gem The Sweet Beet - SUPPORT! The food is creative, glutenfree, vegan and one of a kind in the area. There is cafe style seating for many. Sundries to take home. Really unique offerings. Plus, LA artist Vegan Power Co represents!

A must try! - Edit
I first tried what The Sweet Beet had to offer back in July when they were a vendor at Compassion Fest. I was floored by what I was tasting after splitting their peach cobbler whoopie pie, sweeties mini cupcakes, and cacao pow ice cream cookie sandwich with a family member! They tasted so fresh and you can tell that a lotta love went into the creation of their products. I definitely can't wait to try one of their soups (among other offerings) at their Granby location.

A bit pricey, but worth every penny - Edit
As a busy professional, it's difficult to find time to cook great vegan meals every night. I stop here at least once a month to pick up dinner, so happy to have this option nearby! The menu changes, but some of our favorites are the savory pie / tartlet and roasted root vegetables. They also have a selection of nut-based spread cheeses. Everything in this shop is Vegan and Gluten Free.

Great! - Edit
The Sweet Beet is amazing! Not only are they vegan - but also soy, gluten and peanut free. The owner, Heather, is super nice - little kids wanted to hug her during our visit. The eggless salad was superb and our soup was way tasty! No soups are made twice - Heather is inspired by what is fresh and available that day! Great selection of grab and go items along with many hard to find specialty vegan products.

I love this place. Yes it is pricey compared to some other places but the food quality is exceptional. Organic, vegan, gluten free. Soup or chili is never a bad choice. Great options to take home for easy meals later. I never had the same soup twice and never had one that wasn't delicious.

NOT TO BE MISSED! - Edit
The food here is outstanding and creative. It's one of those places that not only uses the highest quality ingredients with creativity and attention to detail with seasoning and flavors, but there is also a lot of love that obviously goes into the food - You can tell as soon as you walk in and start eating the food which is sensational. This place is worth driving to, even if it's out of the way. It's a vegan oasis not to be missed.

Awesome find! - Edit
A few weeks ago while out riding my motorcycle around Western CT, I finally got the chance to stop by Sweet Beet-- I've been meaning to for quite some time, but being from Mass, opportunities are limited. I wish I'd done so sooner.
Read moreThe cafe is more or less in the middle of nowhere. The interior is pristine and inviting, and the staff absolutely wonderful. I can honestly say that I've never felt more welcomed than I did at Sweet Beet. Everything on the menu is vegan, and the baked goods & sandwich I had were simply wonderful.
I will definitely be heading back there, and taking specific care to do so.
Pros: All-vegan: We can order anything!, Excellent food, Wonderful staff
Cons: A little off the beaten path, A hair pricy, but not unreasonably so.
