Start with vegan Katsu cauliflower bites, followed by a choice of three mains: vegan creamy mushroom and leek pasta, vegan meatballs and tagliatelle, or vegan banana blossom fish and chips. Wonderful vegan meal in a gorgeous pub

My partner and I were visiting Alton towers and searched for vegan options nearby not expecting too much. We however came across the star at cotton which has marked vegan options on the menu including 3 mains a creamy mushroom and leek pasta, meatballs and tagliatelle and banana blossom (vegan fish)and chips. I had the meatballs and my partner had the banana blossom and chips. Both meals were absolutely incredible!! You could taste how fresh the ingredients were and it was our fav meal out for a while. For pudding we each had a vegan brownie and ice cream which again was gorgeous, really moist and tasty with nuts on top and a caramel sauce.
The pub itself is gorgeous with velvet chairs in the dining room and the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. I only wish we lived closer so we could go again and again!!

Pros: Vegan options clearly marked on menu , Freshness and taste of food, Cocktails

Cons: Only one vegan starter not even any bread and oils
