Lovely spot - Edit
I had the vegan cheese oatcakes and then a scone. We were in the wooden hut with the paintings in which I found to be a bit musty. The oatcakes were ok, wasn’t a fan of the choice of vegan cheese. The scone was massive and it’s really nice they included cream but it’s the squirty one, would have been better with a whipped double cream alternative as the squirty cream just dissolved to nothing. Thankful they have vegan options, but I’d say the standard of food is average.

Lovely cafe in the woods - Edit
We love it here. It’s a perfect place to come after a long walk. They serve Vegan mains such as burgers, sandwiches, soups, oatcakes, drinks, ice cream etc. the menu isn’t huge but what they do sell is nice. The only downside is that it gets very, very busy pretty much as soon as it opens!

Love this place! - Edit
Absolutely love Rambler’s Retreat! Have been coming here for a few years since moving to the area. Always lots of vegan options including a wide range of desserts and vegan milks for hot drinks. Vegan toasties are delicious. Lovely spot for a walk, dogs welcome, great outdoor seating area, have never needed to go inside even in winter.

Afternoon Tea - Edit
We pre-ordered afternoon tea and had both the vegan and vegetarian versions. It had everything you could wish for, lots of food and everything tasted great! The staff was very accommodating and had a good understanding of vegan food. Would definitely come again!

Lovely cafe with plenty of outdoor seating & available water for your furry friend - they even do doggy ice cream! There's quite a good choice of vegan drinks to choose from, most can be veganised with the choice of oat milk or soy milk, I had an Iced Latte & my wife had a Chocolate Milkshake (made with vegan ice cream and even vegan whipped cream on top!). There wasn't a great deal of choice in terms of food but I did notice that they offered a vegan cheese & onion sandwich 🙂
