Take Away Superstar - Edit
We had a wonderful take away pizza and fries from The Square. It was lovely to see so many vegan options on offer for pizza toppings and the pizza was delicious!

Very lovely food (and place) - Edit
Came along this place during grocery shopping in the village next to our campsite.
Read moreOrdered some take away food. Two nice vegetarian pizzas, some onion rings, Haloumi and guacamole topped fries and some cheesy fries. But there was loads more of vega(n) options to choose from.
It was all tasting really good and the portions were big enough for the four of us.
Service was really friendly and fast. And while we're awaiting our order, we could enjoy our coffees on their little outside seating.

Read moreHappyCow’s rating system of not allowing five stars for ALL places is an injustice for a place like this.
The vegan options are extensive, the staff are extremely knowledgable, they’re willing to go off-menu for vegans, and they only use vegan Mayo for everything.
Five stars all the way 🙌🏼
Pros: Loads of vegan options, Very knowledgable staff, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So so good! - Edit
Incredibly friendly staff who've increased the range of vegan options over the years. They whipped up a sweetcorn and chickpea fritter burger for us that wasn't even on the menu. Loads of cakes too. Very strong recommend.

Great Choice! Great Service! - Edit
Loads of vegan options, the staff were amazingly helpful and listed all the things that they could make for us. They had loads of vegan cheese, salads, sausages, jacket potatoes, soup and loads of vegan cakes. The food was fresh and really tasty. Brilliant!

excellent pizza - Edit
I was never a particular pizza fan before I went vegan and so have never missed them. However, for various reasons, I have had 3 vegan pizzas over the last month - they've all been good but this was superb. The vegan mozzarella they use is lovely and they don't skimp on it. There are loads of optional extras so you can build a pizza to exactly suit your taste. We shall be returning very soon!

Good options - Edit
As well as a well-stocked salad bar and (gf base available too) vegan pizza on the menu (from 3pm) they had 3 gf vegan baked goods: a brownie, a chocolate coconut topped flapjack and raspberry crumble square. I may have eaten 3 of the raspberry crumble squares, no regrets.

great pizza! - Edit
Lovely pizza. If there’s no vegan cheese in stock they will allow you to bring your own and it to the pizza for you. Very reasonable prices.

Great little place, and in deepest darkest Cornwall! - Edit
I was really thrilled to find this place last time I was in St Just. I'm from Cornwall myself, was vegetarian from the age of 11 (I've been vegan for 3 years now), and when I was young it was almost impossible even to get vegetarian food a lot of the time. Asking for a salad sandwich would often lead to the refrain 'what, no meat??' followed by utter confusion. These days it's getting a lot easier (yay!) and finding The Square last time I was home visiting my Mum was a lovely surprise.
Read moreIt was a flying visit, and unfortunately I was there too early in the day to get to try the vegan pizza, but I had a large salad with a vegan bhaji, a slice of vegan cake, and coffee with soya milk. It was filling, tasty, and excellent value for money. The staff were delightful, friendly, and very welcoming. Next time I'm down visiting family I'm going to make sure I'm in time to try the pizza, and they had some very tasty sounding sorbet too.
My one - very minor - complaint, is that I wish they'd been serving the vegan pizza at lunch time!
Pros: Vegan pizza with vegan cheese!, friendly and welcoming , great value for money
Cons: No lunch time vegan pizza
