VOHOs unite! - Edit
If like me you're a Vegan Of Hungarian Origin (if so I'd love to hear from you 😊) this place is a must, and recommended even if you're not as Hungarian restaurants are few and far between.
Read moreThe Rosemary's multiple vegan options - and organic too - are a welcome disruption of traditional Hungarian cuisine while remaining faithful. There's comforting authenticity in the bean soup and it's well worth ordering the fluffy home-made bread on the side which will last you the whole meal. The mushroom stew is another classic mining the full depth of mushroom flavour. More unusual are the aubergine bake, even featuring vegan cheese, and the innovative dessert option of fresh raspberry and peanut butter-filled chocolate coconut balls. Note that sides such as cucumber salad may be served with sour cream so ask for it to be left off.
There's an exciting list of hard-to-find wines from Hungary and its neighbours, and original cocktails with a humorous Magyar twist - think Unicum espresso martini. Live music nights are recommended for extra atmosphere. Delightful ceramics are on sale made by the owner Mihály Herczeg and his wife Edit Juhasz - the extensive display suggests a lockdown wellbeing project.

Culinary experience - Edit
We had a fantastic and a very authentic Hungarian experience in The Rosemary restaurant. The dishes were perfect - tasty, piping hot. Nicely plated but not too fussed. And the same applies to the service - very polite, friendly, approachable. The guys seemed very knowledgeable and very accommodating with me (vegan) and my friend (gluten free!). Zero fuss.
Read moreWe both had plenty to choose from and we both felt like we found our new favourite place.
Pros: Lots of vegan options + authentic Hungarian cusin, Attentive, professional, friendly service, Very warm, cozy atmosphere
Cons: Open only from 6pm on weekdays, Not the cheapest (but worth the price!!), I can’t say any other cons
