Lots of vegan options

Really good quality food - everything clearly home-cooked, and plenty of vegan options to choose from. I had the jackfruit bao and a side of chips but I was in a large group of other vegans, some of whom had banana blossom 'fish' n chips, and the tofu poke bowl. The staff were very friendly. It got full very quickly so would recommend booking for large groups - just don't mix it up with the Norfolk's other Ostrich Inn (in Fakenham)!

Pros: Lots of options, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

Love this pub!

Tasty food, generous portion sizes, plenty of vegan options. The tartare sauce was amazing. Everything well cooked. Pub itself was a little cold, but otherwise lovely little pub, set in great location.
English heritage sites in the village- Castle, Bailey Gate and a Priory.

Amazing!

Excellent choice of vegan options. Huge portion sizes.
We had the courgette and pea fritters with pesto for starter and the nori wrapped tofu for main - 3 pieces of tofu!!
Forgot to take pictures, was so hungry and looked so good, I just jumped in!

Pros: Loads of vegan options, Nori wrapped tofu amazing!! Huge portion!, Amazing! Highly recommend!

Amazing Meal

We had been village hopping all day exploring Norfolk and checked in all pubs for somewhere for dinner, most had no vegan options or a chickpea curry. Then we found the ostrich with options to choose from! I had the nori tofu ‘fish and chips’ It was clearly cooked fresh to order, even the vegan tartare sauce was clearly freshly made with fresh dill chopped through it. For pudding had the creme brûlée, the menu is all the chefs own. Def worth a visit. They had a quiz going on in the evening and fully booked!

Pros: Vegan options, Freshly cooked, not frozen or reheated, Tasty
