Excellent vegan pizzas

When we first went in and asked for anything vegan, they seemed very apologetic and we thought they were going to say that they have nothing at all. It turned out that although they were out of their vegan sausage rolls, they could easily make all their vegetarian pizzas vegan so we ordered several - and they were delicious! Great portion sizes, lots of cheese, and the mushroom/garlic pizza in particular was fabulous. They offered three types of plant milk too, and were able to make a nice vegan hot chocolate (no cream or anything though). Excellent place for kids as they have a huge indoor soft-play area.

Pros: Excellent vegan pizza, Quick service, Nice cozy vibes

Cons: Staff seemed unsure about veganism in general

A Warm Welcome.

Visiting Swaffham on a cold, wet Autumnal day, we struggled to find lunch. This part of Norfolk is maybe not as vegan friendly as you might hope. From the outside Margaret’s maybe did not look as welcoming as it actually turned out to be. The staff are delightful. They offer a good range of vegan food which seems to vary regularly. When we visited there was the usual milk options, Soya, Oat or Coconut. I had a lovely piece of chocolate and orange cake and my wife had a blueberry croissant. There were vegan sausage rolls available and all the vegetarian pizzas can be veganised. Soup and baked potatoes are also offered.
Once inside, the cafe is really nice, well decorated and cosy. There are sofas and comfortable chairs. A long bench table and children’s play area are in a separate room.
Having reached the stage where any cafe which served something vaguely vegan would do, Margaret’s far exceeded that requirement and obviously actually made an effort to accommodate a vegan diet.

If you are in the area and need lunch, visit.

Pros: A good selection of vegan food and drink, A lovely cafe., Delightful staff.

Cons: Not totally vegan.
