Just okay, could be quite good with a little more effort.
Read moreGlad they have vegan pizza and that part was generally good. But the crust was basically like white bread with almost no salt and no seasoning. It is airy which is good, just really could use some more seasoning and salt.

Really good vegan pizza!! - Edit
Papa Nick's doesn't always have vegan cheese available, but they will make you a pizza with lots of veggie toppings without the cheese and you won't even miss it. The vegan cheese they use, when available, is locally made. They offer a veggie pizza with five toppings of your choosing, so they don't nickel-and-dime you for the veggies, which is really refreshing.
Read moreI am originally from NYC, so admittedly, I am a pizza snob. And I really like Papa Nick's pizza. It's nothing like NY pizza, but it is really good and reliably so. They also have great, huge garlic knots (they call them garlic rolls here) and they are vegan. I just add salt to them and they're perfect, although very oily. We always order a dozen and bring home the extra to snack on a few days later.

Great place! - Edit
The staff are wonderful. The atmosphere is classic Italian. Tiny little college town hidden away in the beautiful NC mountains. Food is wonderful and affordable. Mrs. Lila's pies are life changing and addictive.
