Amazing vegan food! - Edit
They even make their sauces from scratch!
Read moreHave truly delicious sides, salads, soups and entrees, even delicious puddings made with tofu so they’re packed with protein.
They use no preservatives so I can eat there without worry since I’m allergic to many preservatives, they even use organic ingredients.
Love the convenience, parking right out front, this place is a gem for vegans and non vegans, my husband loves their food and he’s not vegan.

Not Fully Vegan, But a Great Place - Edit
In May/June they added some dairy options to their menu to cater to the neighborhood, like dairy feta and dairy ice cream. There is also vegan ice cream now! I am fully vegan, and I know other fully vegan people would appreciate knowing this for when they order! That being said, the majority of the menu is vegan and will be marked as such. We eat here 1-3 times per week and it’s awesome. I love the owners. Note: The “tuna” marked on my menu photo is actually “chickpea by the sea”.

Updates to Greenhouse - Edit
I sadly can’t speak on what Greenhouse Kitchen used to be, but it was a wonderful treat tonight. Daily rotating menu, grab and go options for those looking for a quick vegan meal, and loads of sweet treats. No espresso bar on weekdays (i think maybe on weekends?) and no seating as of now, just high top standing tables, but still great tasting food and lovely staff cooking from the heart. Will be back!

How I wish I could pack this place up and bring it with me! Delicious food with quality ingredients for a great price. Portions were perfect, and it has the cutest ambiance. The owners put their soul into it. Lots of thought put into all of the details, quality and sustainability. Will come back!

Best vegan in Berks - Edit
What don't I love about Greenhouse? They have the best priced vegan breakfast sandwich you can find within at least a 50 mile radius. Everything they create is absolutely scrumptious. They are run by the sweetest folks around and continue to provide one of the only truly plant based cafes in the area.

Completely plant based with indoor & cute outdoor seating! I had the salad with a scoop of each the mock tuna & egg salads so I could try each. My daughter got the falafel wrap. Lemon blueberry Scone, chai for me & vanilla matcha latte for her. We loved everything & everything on the menu that we didn’t get sounded great, too! Glad to have found this awesome vegan spot only 25min from Kutztown University.

Arrived right as they opened and the staff were so welcoming and helpful for this newbie. They have so many good choices it was tough. But I’m very happy with my choices and would 100% recommend. I know Happy Cow says this is a vegetarian place, but the staff said they were 100% plant-based. I can’t say I saw anything that proved otherwise. I will definitely be back.

I would consider them 99% Vegan they do deal with some Dairy Milk for coffee's if ppl want and you can order the Falafel Wrap with Vegetarian Tahini Sauce but they have Vegan Tahini Sauce available.😄

So glad that this former gift shop next to the Bell Tower has become a vegan restaurant! But enter at the diner up the street and park behind the restaurant, much easier, since the parking lot is tricky due to the salon and busy intersection. Sweet owners remember your name and have created an adorable happy bright space for dining and hanging out with your laptop. It is very easy to order online. I always seem to get the chicken caesar salad and ask for a little extra dressing. I get very excited to see Uday's vegan Indian specials -- they are fantastic, creamy, and rich. I want to eat outside in the courtyard when the weather gets warm. We order holiday food trays from here too as well as tubs of egg and chicken salad. If I were having a party, I would beg the owners to cater it for me.

The Greenhouse Cafe gets an overall yes from me, as their breakfast sandwich & French toast options make me happy and satisfied. I have yet to try any of their lunch menu options, but I will be sure to in the future😄the location is beautifully put together - modern, clean, and airy which is an aesthetic I appreciate to eat in 💚
Read moreNow, I give it a four because I pre-ordered a mac & cheeze tray for Christmas dinner from the cafe and it was a total miss. I don’t know how it ended up being such a miss with flavor, but I ended up having to “re-make” it essentially.

Whenever I visit my parents in Reading (I am from Columbia, Maryland), I always stopped by The Greenhouse Cafe for either breakfast and lunch. The food they have is delicious. Yummy. I love their golden milk. The Strata is a CHAMP! The owners and staff are very friendly! I love the greenhouse room and the plants in cool pots.

The food was delicious and the cafe was cute and cozy with a neat seating area. A little pricy but you get great vegan food so worth it in my opinion. The owner was very kind and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely be coming back here!

Found out about this place two weeks ago and today was my fourth visit. The food is beautifully prepared, colorful and delicious. Excellent baked goods and coffee, too. I recommend the golden milk. Everything is 100% vegan and that is awesome for this area. The staff and owners are always engaging and passionate about their products. Wish this lovely couple the best of luck - consider me a regular!!
