Serves meat, vegan options available. Contrary to the name, this Aussie pie shop offers a few fully vegan pies, one of them using Whole Flower Farms' Not’cho Cheeze with broccoli and another using beyond beef. Also has a bean & veggie one. In January 2022 vegan pizza, and vegan sausage rolls were added to the menu. Reported closed November 2024.

There was one vegan impossible meat pie left in the case, so I decided to go for it. The pastry was excellent, very crispy and with good color. The filling was a little runny, however. They gave me a side of vegemite which is wonderful. Clean space with plenty of seating, but everyone that stopped by took their pies to go.

Wow. This was a hit! The lady who owns the place was SO nice and very helpful. Several vegan options. She has vegan/veg family members and is used to cooking for allll of us:) We tried the vegan pizza pie, bean and potato, impossible burger and broccoli cheese. All delicious all flaky and savory! She is able to sell frozen takeaway as well so if you’re in town for a visit and going home - keep this in mind. She even provides reheating instructions!

Came in late in the day ,first time getting food there. Asked for one of every vegan item available. The impossible beef pie was delicious and full of umami flavors

Beyond Meat is the best pie, but i like the curry veggie pie too. they have impossible meat sausage pie too. the delicious vegan cheese is from 'whole flower' a local vegan company

Inclusive for Vegans! - Edit
Love that the Meat Pie Shop caters to vegans and vegan diets! I tried the broccoli cheddar and vegan sausage pies and both were pretty good. They felt very substantial and I loved the flaky crust. My only concern is that each small pie is about $9. Very pricey for such a small portion. I would definitely stop in again, but only every once in a while.

My Australian friend rants and raves about how meat pies were a key part of his childhood and then I stumbled upon this place with vegan meat pies!! They are soooooo good! Sent my friend a picture and he was so excited and said they looked like the real deal, and tasted like it too. The beyond beef vindaloo curry pie and the pizza pie were soo good. I asked which pies were vegan and he said any of the ones with a green label, which was a lot of them!! 10/10 would recommend, definitely will be back. The man who runs the shop is sweet and I love that he has punch cards for every time you visit.

I bought three pies and a sausage roll; so far, I’ve eaten the sausage roll and the vegan pizza pie. Omg. I can’t wait to get home later and try the impossible beef and impossible curry! And the gentleman who owns the place is so awesome and kind! Great experience!

Hot, grab & go counter. Flaky pastry with broccoli & fake cheese or beans, potatoes & veggies in a savory gravy. They've just started using Beyond Beef too for a traditional Australian fare. Everything is clearly labeled vegan.
