Vegan cafe at Market Hall, which is commonly known as the Guild Hall and is situated near the Assembly Rooms; it has a clock tower. Quirky decor. Offers daily baked cakes, shakes, teas, and soft drinks. Re-opened after brief early-2014 closure. JAN 2015 OWNER CHANGE CAFE NAME AND MENU - NOT VEGAN ANYMORE.

Excellent! - Edit
We visited "The Cake Hole" on 17-8-2013 after finding a new Vegan Cafe had opened in nearby Derby (Derbyshire UK). We had a variety of Cakes and Coffee with soya milk and really enjoyed it all.
Read moreThe Cakes were delicious and the cafe very cosy with a good atmosphere too. Run by "Jo" who had recently opened the cafe in the Guildhall Markethall on the balcony level. Everything is Vegan and next time we'll try something else there. It was very busy when we visited on the Saturday afternoon.
Well worth a visit if you are in that area!
Pros: Clean, Varied Menu, Good Service
