Vietnamese menu under the glass of each table. Little English spoken but added an English menu. Order "com" and you will get a nice plate of rice with a variety of veg and some tasty tofu. Mostly vegan, but has yogurt and offers dairy milk for drinks. NOTE: Hours reported to be unreliable, check ahead. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-8:00pm. Closed every 2nd and 16th of the Lunar Calendar.

Sumptuous meal for a very affordable price - Edit
Very very affordably priced menu. For example, we ordered
Read more1. com (rice on the menu, which comes with stir fried vegetables, tofu and eggplant.
2. Com chien (Fried rice)
3. Banh goi, banh nam ( 'cakes')

The portions were filling for two adults, especially one adult (me) being a heavy eater. It costed just 50,000 VND ( = 2 EUROS)
They tasted very very good.
Pros: Very affordable price, Tastes good, Most of the options are vegan except the drinks
Cons: Could be crowded

Don't know why people are saying this place is dirty, it seemed clean enough to me.

Super cheap local place - Edit
We went on a rainy Sunday lunch and the restaurant was packed - a good sign. The place wasn’t that clean, but nothing too bad and personally I’m not bothered, I’ve never got a crook stomach in Vietnam yet so am not too worried (India and Nepal were a different story haha).
Read moreDefinitely get the “com” which is steamed rice with a variety of veggie/tofu/jackfruit dishes for only 10,000 dong. We also tried the “pho kho” (fried noodles), “rau bop” (mixed veggies), and “banh beo” dumplings (I think?). We filled up on 5 dishes between the two of us and it came to only 46,000 dong which is about what we usually pay for ONE meal - amazing value! The food came out super fast too.
Pros: incredibly cheap, pretty tasty, quick service

Very disappointed - Edit
Such a big disappointment, especially the service. The food is somehow OK, small portion and cheap. But the restaurant was dirty and service was poor. Perhaps this is an example of "you get what you pay".

Was ok - Edit
Had the hot pot and found it very bland. Not much flavour going on. Not the greatest of foods but was cheap.

Was good - Edit
The food was good, the restaurant offers mostly mock meat. There is quite a variety to choose from, for my chicken with chili and pepper are 3 stars appropriate.

Best veg place in Vietnam - Edit
This is by far the best vegetarian place I've been to in Vietnam. I've tried 5 of their dishes and all were amazing. The soy beans in flour is the best one, as well as the Hue dish Beo cake (something like that).
Read moreGreat prices too.
Only thing is that the prices on the menu are not in the right order, so if you're on a low budget like me, ask for the prices when ordering.

Great value - Edit
Really enjoyed the rice plate (com), it came with various different vegetables, bamboo, jackfruit and a large piece of tofu. Pretty tasty food for the price and always packed! Also one of the cheapest hot pots around that looked really good!

Cheap and quite tasty food - Edit
Would highly recommend the fried mushrooms which were delicious! The noodle soup was quite nice but the sauce tasted quite fishy and I was slightly wary of it.

Really cheap tasty food - Edit
The food here is such good value for money and very tasty. The menu is a little confusing but the ‘rice’ for 10k VND isn’t just plain rice it does come with some veg and tofu on top so you can eat for really cheap. I would recommend ordering another dish to fill up properly. They’re all between 15-30k VND and many have tofu/mock meats in. Don’t be put off by it looking a bit grimy it’s always full with locals which is a good sign and we’ve been fine after eating.

Eaten here three times! - Edit
Really like this place! Lovely staff and the food I feel is very good quality. You know its good when it's always busy with the locals. Everytime iv eaten here it gets better, 2 plates of food for around 35-40k. The fried mushrooms are great and so surprisingly is the plate of vegatables - more like a salad but full of different flavours. The rice option is not plain rice but a mix of tofu and veg. Also i really enjoy thier chilli sambal.

Very nice place for an authentic experience - Edit
A lot of Vietnamese enjoy their daily food here, we shared a table with a local and had a great conversation. Don’t let the rubbish on the floor hold you back (we’ve seen it in many more local/rural restaurants and survived;)), it’s really good food for a fair price. Enjoy!

Filthy - Edit
Want to give zero but 2 stars are automatic. Walked to the restaurant to see rubbish all over the floor where people are eating, saw on tripadvisor this isn't a one off. I dread to think about the hygiene in the kitchen, I refused to eat there and walked on.

Cheap local food - Edit
Great cheap place to eat in real Vietnamese style. It's packed here, especially near the full or new moon when many of the local Buddhists eat vegetarian. I can recommend the "Com" for 10,000 Dong, "Bahn Nam" for another 6,000 Dong, and best of all the fried mushrooms. Enjoy!

Be careful, the banh cuon (steamed rolls) were not vegetarian, they had pieces of ham in them. The rest of the meal was good.

Awesome eats in Hue - Edit
I ate here twice while in Hue. Excellent and inexpensive vegan food. As others have mentioned here, the place is for the locals. Few tourists there besides me. They don't seem to really sweep the floor or wipe the tables regularly, but no one there seemed to mind. I ordered hot food, so I wasn't worried about it being tainted for my sensitive western tummy. A very authentic Hue eating experience.

Delicious food and extremely cheap - Edit
Ate here for dinner on our last night and wished we were staying longer justa o we could eat here again. Food is delicious. There is an English menu, but not extremely accurate or detailed so expect a surprise dish here or there, last of the fun. Rice paper rolls and com were delicious, highly recommend. Bought 5 dishes and only cost us 40 000vnd including a jug of pandas green tea.

We were told to come here by a local, who told us it was very popular/famous.
