Great tasting veg food options, friendly server!! - Edit
Eating vegan in the Oregon North Coast at Thai Us Up in Seaside, OR.
Read moreLovely place to grab some vegan thai food on the coast. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. While none of the dishes were labelled vegan specifically, she helped guide us to the dishes that were suitable for us. Any dish that included red curry was not vegetarian because the red curry is made with fish sauce. However, any dish with green curry was safe as she recently ordered a veg friendly version of the green curry in order to cater for veg preferences 💚. She also mentioned about possibly working on bringing out a separate vegetarian menu in the future 🌱.
The Fried Tofu was yummy. The texture was more light and fluffy than what I was expecting, as in the past ... the fried tofu I've had consisted of a firmer texture. So it was a bit different, but really good .. especially when coupled with the included dipping sauce. The Peanut Noodle dish was great, thanks in no small part to their wonderfully flavorful peanut sauce!! I'm soooo much a fan of their Avocado Curry, lots of pieces of avocado and tofu, really tasty and filling.

Tasty with lots of options but nothing brilliant - Edit
Good number of options to choose from. Food is spicy if listed as such. Standard Thai cuisine. Good but not great.

Beam us up for Thai, Scotty - Edit
I’m not sure why others made review on their separate menu, Thai Me Up, but this one is of a more vegan-friendly menu. Typical Thai restaurant but with more seafood emphasized (this one is on the coast, what should we expect?). As per my default “New Thai restaurant” policy, I ordered their green curry. I dined with a friend (while other one stayed in car enjoying his Astoria Coop food), and he ordered the chow mein with the creature that goes bawk-bawk-bawk. He said their chow mein is really good. The green curry was very good as well. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants in the town, but I came to this one because of unique name as well as the fact it’s right by the busy highway 101. Don’t mind coming back to try other meals.

Cons: Better dine there if heading south…, instead of when heading back up north, due to the busy highway

Mediocrity at it's finest - Edit
Bland, ultra oily, tofu not fried, just warmed up, EXPENSIVE. We were the only people in there the whole time, no orders being called in and I can see why. Will not be back.

Since they moved across the street the food has gone down hill.
Read moreBland, boring and not even fresh.
There are many other options in the area for Thai food.

Great corner Thai food - Edit
Had the pad kee mao here and loved it! The noodles and veggies were excellent. The tofu was OK (would've been better fried rather than soft, probably). They were happy to veganize it upon request, and I'm glad to have this place as an option. Not many vegan choices on the coast here south of Astoria, and this really hit the spot.

Only 1 vegan option - Edit
The ONLY vegan thing on the menu is the yellow curry. Everything else has fish sauce or shrimp paste. Don’t go here. Go to yellow curry down the road where everything is fresh made and she’s happy to customize

Love the food here, some veg options with tofu. Would definitely recommend. - Edit
Loved the tofu salad rolls with peanut sauce. Also had the spicy basil veggie bowl with tofu. Taste was wonderful and the meal was more than I could eat. Might want to split your dish with someone else.
