Not vegan friendly - Edit

My husband and I ordered two items that are listed on the menu with a "veg" symbol, indicating that they can be ordered vegetarian/vegan. I ordered the asparagus stir-fry in a brown sauce with tofu. My husband ordered pineapple delight with tofu.

After we ordered, the server went to the kitchen, came back, and said that the "veg" symbol just meant those items could be made vegetarian or gluten-free, not vegan. That was odd since it literally says "vegan" on the bottom of the menu, and a brown sauce would typically be fine. With these two dishes, I can't imagine what would be vegetarian but not vegan. (Fish sauce/oyster sauce, which are typically problematic at Thai places, wouldn't be vegetarian anyway. And I can't imagine there are eggs or dairy in those sauces.)

I asked what could be made vegan. The server said she didn't know. She said she'd have to get her manager. We were in a bit of a hurry, and at that point, I'd lost faith that they'd be able to come through, so we left.

Easy to modify - Edit

It was easy to make many of the dishes there vegan, and I definitely recommend trying the mock duck in a noodle dish. The presentation is good, and the servings are generous. You can get the spice level made to your specifications, and they are easily able to remove ingredients from a dish. The noodles were made to perfection, and the sauce was flavorful.
