Great Options and Delicious - Edit
I got the Tofu Banh Mi with fries. Everything in the menu, including the sides, were clearly labeled. The staff was very helpful and nice. Ambiance was neat and very convenient to do your grocery shopping

Dinner stop - Edit
Me and my sister got the beyond burger, fries, and pad thai. The beyond burger and fries were good and even came with vegan cheese. Unfortunately the pad thai wasn’t the best. It was salty and the noodles were undercooked. Some of them were even crunchy! Other than that though, they do have a decent amount of options to choose from,

A Few Good Options - Edit
The Mediterranean wrap, Greek salad, to-go kale salad are all good options. That said, the tofu scramble is easily the worst I’ve ever had - always soaked in oil and paired with frozen tater tots. Definitely avoid it. Staff is great, and there are pretty good Burger options if you want either a black bean or Beyond burger.

This is a go to restaurant for me. There are multiple vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. You can find something no matter what you are in the mood for. The Tofu Ban Mi has become my regular order.

This is one of my goto places for work lunches. You will find vegetarian and vegan options. I recommend the Tofu Bánh mì or black bean burger.

Good for groups - Edit
Watch for specials, as they sometimes have a really good vegan special. There are a good amount of options. The banh mi is especially good. My mom likes to order it as a salad. The tofu scramble is not the most flavorful, but they have a great selection of hot sauces to choose from.

Nice vegan options! - Edit
We eat at Gateway regularly. They have vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner items. I really love the tofu banh mi and it is enough to feed a couple of people if you get some fries! They also have several veg burger options, and vegan pad thai that are pretty good. I really like the tofu scramble for breakfast - it is a bit bland but really yummy with salsa or siracha.

Lots of options - Edit
Not the biggest fan of the market itself its pretty small and not a whole ton of a frozen food selection for vegans & vegetarians and only minimial vegan items around the store that I saw. However the market is awesome! Lots of vegan AND vegetarian options and everything is clearly labeled. It can get pretty busy but the line goes fast. Ive had the falafel and the pad thai and both were delicious! The tofu scramble is ok. Kind of bland. I think they are better for lunch. My date had something that had meat in it for breakfast and he said it was just okay.

Delicious Food - Edit
Gateway Market also is a restaurant and they have several vegan and vegetarian options available. Their Vegan Bahn Mi is absolutely amazing and they always provide great service. Their grocery selection is also wonderful although a bit more expensive due to being a smaller market. They have lots of organic produce and a great selection of local beer. The only thing I wish they had is more vegan bakery options. All I found so far are some "healthy" chocolate chip cookies.

Lots of vegan and vegetarian options - Edit
We stopped here before attending a concert at a venue right down the street, and were very pleasantly surprised at the number of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The place was very busy, but the food was excellent! We also visited the grocery section, and found the prices to be high on just about everything. They did have some good vegan items in the store, but if I lived in Des Moines I would probably try to find better prices elsewhere.

Delicious Choices - Edit
Several vegetarian and vegan options from the cafe menu. The Tofu Bahn-Mi is my go to meal, a large portion & awesome flavor. I find their pad Thai to be lacking, unfortunately. However. There also a ton of awesome vegan options from the grab n'go sections. Definitely a good place to stock up on groceries as well.

The cafe has awesome options! - Edit
It might not sound initially appealing to eat lunch or dinner in a grocery store, but it is worth it! The grocery store itself has a lot of fun food options, but in the cafe, there are plenty of options, from vegan chili, to a black bean burger, and a tofu banh mi that is delicious and unique. One of our go-tos for eating out. The grocery store part is starting to add more vegan options too such as house made vegan queso dip!
