They literally don’t know how to cook Thai food

For an $18 entree my expectations were high. I was glad the server clearly understood what vegan meant, but ended up very disappointed with the pad thai I ordered. It wasn’t inedible but the dish wasn’t even a little similar to pad Thai. The noodles were very thick, there was a very liquidy sauce all over it that tasted tomato-based, no detectable peanut flavors. The tofu was good. My friend ordered a green bean entree that literally tasted like it had gravy smothered on it. I’m pretty convinced that the chef didn’t know anything about Thai food.

Considering that the cheapest dish is $18, I would say if you’re stuck looking for vegan food in Wasilla you’re better off going to Taco Bell.

Cons: High prices, Low quality

Has many Vegan options

Vegan food is hard to come by in this area, so Thai Asian Cuisine is a welcome difference. They will replace meat items with tofu, though when I asked the waitress if they did, she didn’t understand ‘tofu’. She knew it as Bean Curd. It’s located midway between Wasilla and Palmer on the Palmer Wasilla highway, in the same building as a health food store. The food ranges from ‘pretty good’ to ‘delicious’.

Pros: Large selection of vegan options

Cons: Ambiance is so-so, but not bad
