Vegan surcharges are too much! - Edit
We went to Ted’s Bulletin with non-vegan friends because we saw that vegan options had been added to the menu.
Read moreWe ordered two “Make It Your Own” breakfast platters. Because we chose the vegan options, we were charged $12 MORE!! The prices are already high because it’s a nice brunch place in a major city, so I found this to be offensive. See photo of the receipt attached.
The worst part… they didn’t even make their own vegan food and they didn’t do anything special to the vegan ingredients bought from a store. We could make the exact same thing with ZERO EFFORT at home with JustEgg and vegan sausage.

I was able to get the huevos rancheros veganized, with impossible sausage and fake eggs. It was very good with a little extra pica de Gallo (since the normal avocado drizzle had dairy)

The vegan bolognese pasta dish was excellent. It is listed as vegetarian on their menu, but they are able to make it vegan! In addition, they also offer salads, vegan egg substitute for any of their breakfast items, and they have vegan breakfast sausage as well. It's not overtly noticable on their menu that they have these options, so I recommend telling the server that you are interested in vegan options, and they'll be happy to let you know what can be made vegan.
