Elegant decor, great food, wonderful service - Edit
When this restaurant moved, they went all out to create a lovely ambiance. Decor is tasteful and calming, and they have included materials to reduce extraneous noise— you can relax and have a good conversation here! Vegans and vegetarians have good choices, and the chef is flexible (I requested tofu or beans be added to my eggplant tagine). There is something for everyone on the extensive menu. My main course was excellent. Baklava was delicious and vegan. There are tasty non-alcoholic cocktails. And our waiter was attentive and helpful. This is a place I’ll want to return, especially on special occasions, even though I live in Fredericton.

Disappointing meal - Edit
We ate at this restaurant years ago and remember being served delicious flavourful food in a great atmosphere. This time the food we ordered was almost entirely tasteless. We ordered the baba ghanouj to start and it lacked any flavour but was swimming in olive oil. We followed with the falafel burger. I had mine with lentil soup, which, although it did have a bit of spice was rather thin. The deep fried burger was totally without flavour, it could have been anything. No garlic, no spices, nothing. The onion and pickle were the only flavours. We were looking forward to dessert (baklava) but decided not to risk it. We wasted enough money on those choices. There was no attempt made to rectify the situation which we had made clear to the waiter.

Amazing food - Edit
Service was great and food was delicious! Everything was clearly marked vegan and vegetarian. I was asked when I arrived if I had any allergies or diet restrictions and the server showed me a few meals that could easily be converted to vegan. First time here but it defiantly won't be my last😍

Great veg options - Edit
Perfect place where both omnivores & vegans can enjoy. This is the only place in Saint John I’ve been able to find that has clearly marked vegan options.

Tasty food, lots of vegan choices - Edit
This restaurant was a find, a large selection of vegan options to choose from (even dessert, although I was too full to try it!!) I too would give it 5 stars if Happy Cow would let me.

would have given 5 stars - Edit
The food was delicious, and menu filled with vegan options. Happy cow won't let you give 5 stars to non-processed vegetarian restaurants or I would.

Amazing Falafel - Edit
I wish I had reviewed this restaurant sooner! My husband and I enjoyed Taste of Egypt while staying at a nearby hotel in St. John. We called and ordered two vegetarian platters which were absolutely delicious. The Falafel was spot on, the pitas were warm and delicious, and they gave a giant serving of some of the best hummus I've ever had (I usually enjoy making my own!).
