Serves meat, vegan options available. Bar offering a small food menu that labels what's vegan or can be. Choices include quesadilla with vegan cheese and oyster mushroom. Appetizers of guacamole and chips, nopal salad, and corn ribscan be ordered vegan, but veggie taco cannot be because cream is mixed into the veggie mixture. Could ask for oyster mushrooms as filling for taco instead. Reported closed January 2025.

One option - Edit
Mushroom is the one vegan option for tacos, and I enjoyed it a bit more than it looks like the other reviewers here did. Never an awesome feeling to be limited to one single choice, but throw in chips, salsa, guac, and a margarita, it wasn't a total loss of a meal.

One Vegan Taco Option Was Meh - Edit
They had one vegan taco option which had no flavour at all but it was still edible! Their guac and chips though is vegan and that was yummy!
Read moreWas a bit pricy for two to dine with several tacos and a snack. Wasn’t full after.

Bland and forgettable - Edit
I was excited to have a vegan Mexican option in Kailua. The tacos were so bland I had to bring them home to fix them. Nothing about them was authentic. Will never return.

Tacos were not good - Edit
I was so excited that another place was offering vegan options and I have heard great things about this spot from others. I ordered the vegan tacos. When I opened them up, it was basically just beans with a marinated (in red sauce) oyster mushrooms. I took a bite and the oyster mushroom was so tough, the entire mushroom (all attaches still and not chopped up) came out of the taco. I spit it out and basically just ate a corn tortilla with beans on it 🙄 which was not satisfying as I could do that at home in seconds. To make an awesome vegan taco would be so easy... just keep the beans and add veggies, guacamole, and cabbage.

Cons: Mushrooms were tough and it ruined the 🌮 taco.

Flavorful but a bit pricey - Edit
Really happy they have vegan cheese for the quesadilla, the fresh corn tortillas are excellent, and the oyster mushroom filling is very flavorful. However each taco is around $4 each and the quesadilla is around $8 and both are very small. If I were really hungry I would need 4 tacos and that would come out to $16 plus tax just for one meal.
Read moreThe guacamole and margarita were also excellent! I would eat here again but more so for a good margarita and a snack, not so much for a full meal.
Pros: Has vegan cheese, Fresh tortillas, Flavorful mushrooms
Cons: Pricey, Small portions
