Yummy food. More of a restaurant than cafe. - Edit
I wouldn't really call this a cafe, more of a dim lit restaurant. Delicious food, a little pricey but decent amount of food for price.

Small portion size - Edit
They do have some options but the portion size is so small compare to what they charge. Let's say I would need two "Tangier's Feast" is smaller than a typical appetizer.

Overpriced for vegans - Edit
Though they have quite a few vegan/vegetarian options, the restaurant in general is quite pricey (as everything in GB is). However, the veggie options themselves are not that much less than the meat options, which is sad since the ingredients cost is so little. I ordered a vegetable Moroccan tangine and it was delicious. It was $17 not including tax and tip though, which is definitely not worth it considering it was literally just a well spiced stew of carrots, tomato, potatoes and zucchini. Probably will not be returning.

Yummy & timely - Edit
On a Friday night in Great Barrington, this was the only restaurant that had a decent wait time... and I’m not talking about for dine-in, I’m talking about picking up take out. This restaurant said 20-30 minutes, while others in the area said 2 hours 🤯
Read moreMany of the main dishes include veggies or falafel as your “protein” option, and they had a bunch of vegan friendly appetizers including hummus, baba ganoush, and some salads.
The yellow Spanish rice was tasty and their falafel balls were pretty large. They also gave a nice helping of pita with the platter orders.
Pros: Vegan options, Large falafel balls, Timely for picking up takeout

Delicious, authentic and plenty of options - Edit
It was great to be able to order something vegan from most sections of the menu. The falafel platter had 3 large falafels with tahini sauce and harissa over veggies, and the restaurant easily accommodated a change in vegetables. The falafel was well spiced. My husband enjoyed the veggie tagine.

Cons: No whole grains - all “whites”, Restaurant layout is very narrow, Small selection of beer and wine

decent veg kabab - Edit
the vegetable kabab was decent, I really enjoyed the mint dressing on the salad (which also went well with my side of falafel).

Tangier Cafe - Edit
Small restaurant, simple décor but delicious, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, many vegan options. We had 4 side dishes and the veggie tagine. Everything was cooked and spiced to perfection. The baba ganouj was exceptionally outstanding.
