Delicious and great environment! - Edit
I’ve been here a couple times and am always so impressed. The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly. I’ve been vegan for 5 years and being able to eat classic candy bars again was amazing.

They had me at Artisan Cheese - Edit
Fun restaurant, great and happy staff, grab and go items; including artisan cheese and the desserts… OMG! Sooo many choices of desserts!
Read moreThis is a must visit when in SLC!! I ate the tofu scramble with toast, potatoes and added the bacon. I was told the bacon is made of kelp and it was crispy and delicious!! I love being able to have breakfast all day. We also had the creamy tomato basil soup and it was perfectly balanced and not sweet. Of course we took dessert to go… Better Than Sex Cake and the Ding Dong cake.

Dessert alone is worth the trip - Edit
Holy moly the sweet treats here has me drooling! Candy bars that are better than what I remember, and nostalgic cakes that put me in sugar heaven. I had the gf blt with curly fries, gf bread was good, bacun was very salty for me, and I was happy to have curly fries after quite some time without them! My mom got the tofu scramble, and she thought it was well seasoned and good. My 4 year old filled up on chocolate cake and good vibes.

Restaurant/sweet shop/store - Edit
Hard to pass up a vegan restaurant called Sweet Hazel that offers food categories like Brekkie and Lunchie. I ordered the garlic mushroom Swiss burger (lunchie) which used fake meat for the burger. A little greasy, a little salty. I sampled the dishes ordered by others in my party, and they were similar in terms of quality.

Incredible: Worth getting up at 5am on a road trip to eat here! - Edit
We love Sweet Hazel SO much that we got up at 5 am to get there in time for a late lunch to break up our long road trip. Seriously - they're so good that when we saw they close at 4pm on Sundays, we knew it was worth getting up super early. The food was as amazing as our memories that made me wake up with anticipation before the 5am alarm!!
Read moreoriginal review: This place exceeded our expectations and was so good that we bought take away so we could enjoy more of their awesome 100% vegan food. Super close to I-15 so easy for folks passing through the SLC area on a road trip, which we were. I had the special which was a faux chicken picatta that was out of this world... Just like my mom used to make but healthy instead of coated in butter! The dessert options are incredible and we tried a cake, canolli, and got an "imposter" 3 musketeers bar and Samoa bar to go. Each was outstanding!

Hit the spot - Edit
I'm so happy we gave Sweet Hazel a try today. Our family shared the pancakes, cheeseburger, BLTA, and turkey avocado sandwich. Each was amazing and filled some cravings I had been unable to satisfy since I became vegan 3 years ago. They even have some gluten free options. We will certainly be back soon to try the other dishes.

Best vegan food in SLC - Edit
We go here at least 1-2x per week. My go to is the Rueben and my partner loves the Philly.
Read moreThe Rueben bread is grilled and crispy, the vegan pastrami is delish, cheese melted perfectly and a yummy creamy sauce.
The regular fries are amazing.
The breakfast burrito is also very good. The sauce on the side was very spicy though.
The candy bars are too good. We always grab a few (Twix is our fav).
Service is fast and friendly.

I can't rave enough about Sweet Hazel - Edit
I can't rave enough about Sweet Hazel, the best restaurant for vegan breakfast biscuits and eggs, sandwiches, and specials! I have eaten at Sweet Hazel at least four times a month since they opened, and I have never been disappointed.
Read moreThe breakfast biscuits and eggs are my go-to on Saturdays, with the perfect balance of flaky biscuits and savory tofu scrambled eggs. The sandwiches are equally impressive, with a wide variety of options that are all delicious. I especially love the specials, which are constantly changing and always impressive.

Now a FULL SERVICE restaurant!!!! - Edit
Sweet Hazel & Co is now a full service restaurant with so many amazing items! They still have the baked items and cases where you can shop other vegan products but now an amazing breakfast, lunch and brunch menu (see photos). Some of my favorites are Turkey Club Sandwich, Puff Pastry Sando & the Blackened Chick'n Salad. They also have vegan ice cream items. You don't want to miss this cute place. Everything is delightful!!

Vegan Paradise! - Edit
Chef Fee and her team are vegan magicians! It may have started humbly with the candies being sold out of the back of her own vehicle on the weekends, but sweet Hazel and Co is turning into a Salt Lake City vegan institution! They are opening a new Bistro and Marketplace in the next few weeks (August 2022) which promises to be the answer to all of our dreams. Not just the wonderful vegan candy, mini cakes and phenomenal custom baked goods, but they will also have a seated Bistro for lunch and dinner! And also grab and go vegsn goodies that showcase other vegan local businesses and of course their famous in house vegan Ranch dressing!

Take 2? I'll take 'em all! - Edit
There were so many candy bars, but we chose 3 Amigos (3 Musketeers), Crunchy (Twix), Galaxy Bar (Milky Way), Take 2 (Take 5), and an imperfect mystery bar that was similar to a Snickers. The mystery bar was difficult to eat because the caramel was too hard. However, the Crunchy had a crispy cookie filling. We haven't tried the others yet, but we can't resist for too long.
