Glad this exists in Managua

I did not eat at the restaurant and look forward to doing so one day. The grocery section is limited. I was hoping to find tofu here.

Amazing food, creative cuisine!

Ate here almost every day during my stay in Nicaragua. This location is both a supermarket and resturant. Food was always delicious and satiating. If you order your food when you get there it can take a while as it’s made to order, however you can order ahead via WhatsApp, or even the day before. They have a new menu weekly which is the same options as their meal plan offering for the week. Saturdays there are even more options, including breakfast. They also offer traditional Nicaraguan dishes and tasty desserts!

Pros: Clean, inviting atmosphere , Friendly staff , Healthy, made to order dishes

Cons: A bit of a wait for food as it’s made to order

Great (only) option in Nicaragua

The food is really good, and it’s the only vegan restaurant in Managua as far as I know. The food takes a REALLY long time, so I’d recommend ordering ahead via WhatsApp if possible or just hanging out there for a while. At least you know it’s fresh😄

We have been here a few times and tried the tres leches, brownie, albóndigas de lentejas, pasta de pesto, and desayuno nicaragüense.

For some reason, when you ask for the menu they just give you the “meal plan” one - there is a much larger menu that you should ask for. They don’t have printed menus. The easiest way is to message them on WhatsApp and ask for both menus that way.

They have A/C and they gave me the WiFi password when I asked.

There’s a rumor online that the owner is related to the Nicaraguan president. The staff denied any relation when another patron directly asked.

¡Vegan cafe and groceries!

This small market has a nice bulk section with a selection of spices, gluten-free flours, refillable soaps, and grains. You can even bring your own containers to reduce waste. There is also a small freezer with vegan ice cream, kimchi, and desserts for sale. My favorite part of Ida however is their cafe. You can order affordable traditional Nicaraguan dishes to go or eat there, like nacatamales, that are difficult to find (I'll usually text them via What's App to order ahead of time). Recently, they also started offering up other tasty plant-based fare like pizza, pasta, burgers, salads, pancakes, and french toast. Some of those entrees run a little higher at around $8-10. I highly recommend their veg burger accompanied by tomato-watermelon panzanella salad and finished with fresh strawberry cashew ice cream!

Pros: Offers gluten free products , Friendly staff , Veganized Nicaraguan dishes

Cons: Closes by 5 - put in pickup orders for dinner

Delicious Traditional Nicaraguan Food!

This is a fantastic place that offers traditional vegan Nicaraguan food--something very rare in Nicaragua. The food is delicious. They use meat substitutes very sparingly and rely more on the vegetables to take the place of meat. The food is wrapped in a very traditional manner and you can bring your own bags for carry out. You can eat there if you'd like; but this is not a restaurant. Think more of a little cafe in a grocery store. They are very friendly and communicate readily via WhatsApp.
They are located in the same plaza Sports Deport; one block from Club Terraza.

Pros: Inexpensive, Traditional food
