Slightly disappointed - Edit
Passing through Keith and thought we’d pop in to the cafe as we’d read some decent reviews on Happy Cow. The cafe is in the square and has a good location with free parking nearby. The cafe has tasteful decor, a nice ambience and pleasant staff. It’s good that the menu identifies vegan and gluten free choices especially as my partner is both vegan and GF. Two of the cakes were vegan (hooray!} but unfortunately the only gluten free choice wasn’t vegan (boo!} so we opted for gluten free sourdough and jam and avocado on toast (no pesto). For a menu identifying vegan options, having a vegan spread to go with toast is a no-brainier however the staff were uncertain as to whether they had anything. We were offered a vegan spread but weren’t totally convinced that it was.

This is a lovely cafe with good potential but for us, did not live up to its reviews
Hopefully will revisit in the future in the hope that this was just a bad day at the office/bakery!
