Nice to try some new food cooked well but the three of us were rushed out just after an hour. Booking was made in advance and this didn’t make us feel at all welcome. A couple of vegan starters and a couple of vegan mains. Enjoyed the lemongrass lemonade😄

There were 2 starters and 2 main course options for vegans as well as a vegan pudding. We had both starters and both mains which were all very good and filling.

A few vegan options - Edit
We just popped in for some drinks as it said online that they have a good selection of rums. Unfortunately they seemed to have run out of a few so we couldn’t have the original cocktails we wanted; however, the ones we switched to were still very nice. We had a look at the menu and they had a few vegan options including jerk tempeh. We ordered a vegan banana bread which was very tasty.

Oh, lovely food. The vegan options are clearly marked. There are V options across each of the courses, and some sides. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. We had the best evening at Spiced Roots!

Best Caribbean Food Ever! - Edit
I went here with my meat eating boyfriend and our meal was amazing. The menu is limited but there was a good variety of vegan and meat options, most of the sides were vegan so we shared sides and had separate mains, most deserts are vegan too! The plantain chips are amazing! I had a potato curry which was so full of flavour and dare I say x100 better than anything at turtle bay. For desert I had banana bread and my boyfriend had the avo I’ve cream, both very yummy, I highly recommend the banana bread, very moist. Staff were friendly and good run cocktails!

We tried the black rice & ackee dish with tempeh and sweetcorn. It was well presented and the flavours were interesting, although I'm not sure that I would order it again, it felt like more like something to try once (the salad seemed a little out of place). But they have other veg. options on the menu which could also be worth trying.

Amazing food and the waitress was very nice. 3 of us had the black rice and ackee and we all really loved it. Well presented and very tasty. Awesome cocktails although the up in smoke wasnt the best (but very fun to watch!)

I can absolutely recommend this place. Their vegan dishes were very nice and had subtle tastes which made me want to eat very slowly to enjoy every mouthful.
