Best Indian I’ve had in Japan and I lived here

The dahl, chickpea salad and chapatti were delicious. The basmati rice was also the best I’ve had in Japan. It felt more authentically Indian than average Japanese Indian food which I find too sweet.

Vegan options are labelled when you click through on the tablet. The vegan button didn’t seem to work but I was easily able to explain I wanted everything to be vegan.

Pros: Well balanced food, Vegan options labelled, Kind staff

Dosas are vegan

Went here for lunch.
On their lunch menu, vegetarian meals cannot be made vegan so we got dosas.
Plain dosa and masala dosa are vegan.

Mixed Veggie Curry

I had the mixed vegetable curry for a light snack. The curry was tasty but quite small for the price, and it does not come with rice or anything, you have to pay extra. Well located in the beautiful La Citadella shopping mall!

Delicious South Indian food

English below👇

Spice Craft is an Indian restaurant located inside Kawasaki’s lovely La Cittadella shopping center. We were looking for a place that could feed fifteen hungry vegans after our activism event, and they were happy to oblige.

There are plenty of items on the menu that are already vegan, like curries and dosa. The helpful staff will point out what’s suitable for vegans on the menu.

For our post-activism gathering, they agreed to prepare a vegan thali for us. At 2500 yen per person it felt overpriced, but it was tasty and made of high quality ingredients. I think everyone was pretty happy with the quality and quantity of the food.

All in all, this is a solid option in Kawasaki. Check it out 😎
