Decent food, small portions - Edit
Food was pretty good, just wasn't enough. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu (which was clearly labeled btw) that was vegan and still left semi hungry. It's a small space and seems very popular with tourists. Reservation is a must. Credit cards accepted.

Delicious vegan options. It’s a small place so it’s best to make a reservation. Portions could be a bit larger but overall great.

Creative vegan dishes, intimate vibe - Edit
Creative and aesthetic vegetable-focused cuisine in a compact, intimate space. They have several vegan options which are clearly labelled with "VG" on the menu. The vegetable tempura and tofu takoyaki were excellent. The portion sizes are small, so you may need to order 2 to 4 dishes per person depending on how hungry you are.
Read moreLike many other restaurants in Kanazawa, they require that you order one drink per person too. Their drinks are reasonably priced though, at around 680-850 yen. The Tateyama sake was delectable and came in a beautiful cup.
The space is small though, with only four tables, so it may be a good idea to reserve a table in advance. I showed up at 8pm on a Wednesday and got the last remaining table; many customers were turned away afterwards.

Great options available - Edit
Tasty and good variety of a few different meals. Shared all of the vegan dishes (about 6) between 2 of us, tofu takoyaki was the best, also loved the veggies and the curry rice.

המלצה על המסעדה, היה טעים מאוד!!! - Edit

Great veggie spot next to castle garden - Edit
Several vegan and gluten free options. Had some tofu takoyaki, a really great mixed salad, some Chinese yam with kiwi, grilled vegetables with a miso citrus sauce. They also have fish there.

Make a booking! - Edit
Hey vegan friends, make a booking for dinner. This place is small (6 tables) and while other reviewers suggested to possibly arrive on time (which we did, sharp at 6pm) unfortunately they were booked out so we didn’t get to try the food.

Delicious small plates - Edit
Located on a narrow street directly to the right of the Oyama shrine, this cosy modern bistro specializing in small plates has vegan and vegetarian options and an English menu. There’s a limited dessert menu and a wide selection of drinks: beer, wine , cocktails or non alcoholic. We loved the mixed salad, tofu dumplings, shiitake bechamel and the basil mascarpone pizza with walnuts. The dressings were subtle and flavorful: ginger-miso, citrus vinaigrette etc.
Read moreService was quick and friendly and all the dishes were freshly prepared in the open kitchen. There are only 6 tables and two counter seats, so come early or make a reservation.
Highly recommended for fine dining and sharing.
A street landmark is the Samurai Gift shop on the corner.

I would give this 5 stars if I could! - Edit
The app won’t allow 5 stars as it’s not completely vegan/vegetarian but it really does deserve 5 stars. This was by far our favourite meal during our 2 weeks in Japan and because of that, we came here twice.
Read moreThis is a small plates restaurant so I would recommend ordering several dishes. We had 5 to share between 2 plus dessert. The plates are reasonably priced in my opinion, ranging from about 600 to 1400 yen per dish ( approx £3-£7). The first night our meal was £29 and the second was £40(for two people). This included several rounds of drinks, mains and desserts.
The food is very creative, tastes amazing and the people working there are so friendly and professional.
It’s also a great place to go if you have any meat eaters in your group. You can all eat together and have great options available for everyone.
If we were staying in Kanazawa longer, we would go back again for a third visit.
Pros: Creative menu that tastes amazing , Reasonably priced , Staff are extremely friendly

Very tasty - Edit
In a city with so few vegan/veg options, this was a nice exception. Teeny place so reserve if you can, or get there early. They open for dinner at 6. Menu is well-labeled, so there was no issue to pick out several items, and all were delicious.

Phenomenal - Edit
Unique, well-executed menu with many vegan and vegetarian options. My wife and I had every vegan option on the menu, so I think we ended up splitting 6 or 7 plates. Each of us had two drinks and the tab came out to 7000 yen. Very friendly people and delicious, filling food.

Yum! - Edit
Really innovative menu with clear labels on what’s vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. Food was stunning, especially the tofu takayoki and they were open late which meant we could eat after watching the sunset on a beach 45 minutes away. Portions are small, tapas style so order a lot.

Lovely food, lovely staff! - Edit
In Kanazawa, vegan options are rare... we were so happy to find this restaurant: very nice owners, very comprehensive, and food portions were not that small as mentioned in other comments. Just order the Japanese way: several dishes to share. We had salad, piccata, vegetable fritters and pasta and this was really delicious and filling for 2, and the price was fair. In addition, the wine and the music was good! Would definitely come back here!

Here is a restaurant that can communicate in English. And as u come in,they will give u a survey paper that u can tick what u can or can’t eat in the checkbox to let them know and they can give u some suggestions of orders. Also, they got a clear menu for vegetarian. And all the plates that I ordered were delucious.
